Shu Uemura Hair Products
The first time I heard of Shu Uemura, the famous Japanese beauty brand, was when I saw The Devil Wears Prada and Giselle mentions something about Shu Uemura eyelash curlers. Despite having heard of the brand many years ago, I just tried products from the brand recently.
I was sent 3 hair care products from the brand: the Color Lustre Brilliant Glaze Shampoo for Color Treated Hair, the Color Lustre Brilliant Glaze Conditoner for Color Treated Hair, and the sheer Lacquer Micro Fine Finishing Spray.
The Color Lustre Shampoo “is infused with musk rose oil and goji berry extract. It lathers into a luxurious foam to help nourish hair and prevent color from fading. The healing properties of the musk rose and the protective properties of the goji berry help ensure a glazed shine with lasting vibrancy from roots to ends.”
The Color Lustre Conditioner “this conditioner is infused with musk rose oilβwhich is rich in fatty acids, vitamin A, and goiji berry extractβto protect the hair from oxidation and hair color fading, paving the way for weightless, shiny hair.”
The Micro-Fine Finishing Spray is “formulated with UV inhibitors to help shield hair from environmental aggressors and provide heat protection. Great for slicked-back styles, high-hold updos, and texturized blowouts, it also provides workable control and shape memory.”
I’ve been using these products for a few weeks now and the shampoo & conditioner are really nice. Their scent isn’t too powerful and they make my hair feel smooth. But the real winner here is the Sheer Lacquer Micro-Fine Finishing Spray. I hardly ever use hairspray, but I’m about to start using it a lot more often because this one is amazing. First off, it smells great. Second, it offers nice hold to whatever hairstyle you want to do. Lastly, it does not make my hair feel hard or crunchy at all. I can spray it on my freshly curled hair and my hair feels just as soft as if I had no hairspray in. It’s seriously the best!
