NaNoWriMo 2021

Have you heard of NaNoWriMo? It stands for National Novel Writing Month. I’ve heard about it for a few years now but this is the first year I’m participating! Essentially you’re trying to write a novel or start one during this month with the typical goal being 50,000 words. I’m using NaNoWriMo to finally get myself to start my princess adventure comedy that I had intended to start over the summer and didn’t.

To prep for the month, I got poster board and a bunch of different colored Post-Its so I could keep track of details to my book. So often when I’m writing on Wattpad, I forget little details. I’ll be like, “Wait, what color did I saw her hair was?” or “What was the name of that minor character again?” I’m color coding the categories on my poster board and I decided to use Post-Its that way I can keep updating the board.

I started writing on November 1st and i’m really far away from 50,00 words. I probably won’t reach anywhere near it by the end of the month because it’s hard to find time to write a whole lot when I’m so tired after work etc. But, I’m going to write as much as I can and at the end of the month I’ll write a post and let you all know what progress I made!
