Happy Lunar New Year

Happy Lunar New Year to all who celebrate! I wanted to do a little bit of decorating this year (very minimal). My parents have this pretty hanging garland of the animals of the Chinese zodiac that my cousin bought them from Hong Kong a long time ago. Last year they gave me one so I made sure to remember to take it out this year. I hung it from one of my bookshelves. Then, I was looking at some decor on Amazon, but all the hanging decorations came in large sets like sets of 48! What am I going to do with that much stuff?! So instead my mom gave me a handful of red envelopes that I hole punched and tied red string to to hang from my money tree. She gave me 8 envelopes with varying designs (8 because it’s a good luck number in Chinese culture).

Wishing you a good Year of the Rabbit!
