Book Review: Kingdom of the Feared

I finished the last book in the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy over the weekend with Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco. I absolutely loved every second of it and am so sad it’s over! But, knowing that spin off books are in the works and Envy’s book is coming out this fall makes me feel a little better!

*Spoilers for books 1 and 2 below!*

Kingdom of the Feared picks up exactly where Kingdom of the Cursed left off. Emilia has officially decided that she wants to marry Wrath and make their marriage official. Not only is she falling in love with him, but she thinks this is the first step to figuring out the curse that has caused them both to forget parts of their past/not be able to speak about their past and find out what is going on and how Vittoria is still alive.

Without spoiling too much about book 3, Emilia does slowly start to remember things about her past, who she truly is, and her past with Wrath. And she learns what the curse entails and works with Wrath, his brothers, and Vittoria to varying degrees to figure out how to break the curse so they can finally be free to live their lives without the restrictions from the curse.

I mentioned in my review for Kingdom of the Cursed that the spice level picked up and it gets even spicier in this one. Emilia and Wrath are on fire together and it makes this fantasy romance even more delicious.

There were so many twists in this book. A few that I guessed and some that I did not see coming at all. Through it all, the love between Emilia and Wrath was so strong – passionate at times and heart aching at others. I loved it so much. I’m going to miss Emilia and Wrath, but I’m happy to know they make appearances in Envy’s upcoming book.
