Planning the Perfect Romantic Night In

There are a few things in life more fun than a good date night. Being able to carve out some time to spend with the person that you love most in the world is always going to feel wonderful and whether you are using date night to show your appreciation for them or you just want to spend some time with them, dates deserve some space to be carved out.

Of course, you don’t want to feel like you are scheduling time together, but sometimes it’s just what you need to do if you hope to have any time where you can concentrate solely on each other. Nothing ruins a date quite like being turned away from somewhere that requires you to have a reservation, so you need to ensure that whether you are watching the Romance at the Vineyard movie in a pop-up cinema or you are heading somewhere like a restaurant that you always book in advance. Also, don’t be late! From this you can gather that a little bit of scheduling will really go a long way. Planning a night together is exciting and here is the way that you can do just that.

  • Sync your calendars together. It doesn’t sound romantic, but coordinating your schedules is so much easier when you can sync your calendars together. You and your date need to find a time that works for both of you. And if you are both busy professionals, you need to make sure that you are working around your employment schedules as well as any other social activities that you have booked up. Sharing your online calendar with them will help you to make a day and time simple because you could just see the spaces that are open.
  • Work on putting together an itinerary so you know when the date should be and you know when you’re going to be available. So let’s consider the ideas. Do you want to go and play mini golf? Would you like to go to a theme park? Are you excited about going to a restaurant and enjoying a meal, or do you just want to cuddle up on the sofa with the movie? You should be considering all of these options when you are scheduling your date night together, but the best thing to do is to plan something in advance so that they feel like you care.
  • Build your evening around it so you already have your main event decided, so build up your evening around that. If you’re heading to a concert, book somewhere for dinner first. If you’re planning to watch a movie, plan ahead for the movie snacks and buy those in advance. If you’re unsure as to the movie they’d want to watch, strike up a conversation about it because it’s much easier to perfect the romantic night in if you are ensuring that your date is going to run smoothly.

The perfect date night really does depend on you – discuss, plan and go for it!
