Book Review: Christmas in Coconut Creek
I’ve been hearing rave reviews for Christmas in Coconut Creek by Karissa Kinword for weeks now and it definitely lived up to the hype for me!

The novel follows Ophelia and Frankie. Ophelia is an elementary teacher in Colorado who took some extra time off before Christmas to visit her best friend in Florida. While sitting in the airport before her flight she decides to kill some time on a dating app and matches with a good looking guy who is former military. The next thing she knows she’s on the plane and her seat mate is none other than the guy she matched with! There is chemistry there, but after a few road bumps that make Ophelia feel like she’ll never see Frankie again, she learns that he is the best friend and roommate to her best friend’s boyfriend so they will be seeing each other for the next few weeks!
This book was so good! I loved Ophelia, Frankie, Natalia, and Matteo! I loved Ophelia and Frankie together. Their banter was so fun. I loved how different Ophelia and Frankie were, but how similar they were in ways too and how well they just understood each other. It was really beautiful to watch their relationship grow and how they went from individuals who felt very solitary in many ways to realizing they could rely on each other too.
The book is filled with laughs, banter, spice, and also a couple emotional moments that did have my heart aching at times!
This is the first book in a series that Karissa Kinword is planning/writing – the Dirty Delta series which is going to follow Frankie’s other best friends from Delta Team. I can’t wait!
Read this if you want a spicy Christmas romcom with the friends with benefits to lovers trope! I guess it might be considered age gap too because Frankie is 9 years older, but I’m not really sure how many years is has to be to be considered age gap lol.
