Book Review: For Pleasure or Worse

One of my favorite holiday romcoms is Christmas in Coconut Creek by Karissa Kinword, so I have been waiting for her to release the second book in the Dirty Delta series, For Pleasure or Worse, and it’s finally out!

This novel follows Matteo and Natalia – the best friends of Frankie and Ophelia from Christmas in Coconut Creek. In Christmas in Coconut Creek, Matteo and Natalia were already together and we learned that on top of Matteo owning and operating a cybersecurity company and Natalia working at a local bank, they secretly have a very successful cam business, filming and live streaming themselves either solo or together engaging in sexual acts. The only people that know are Frankie and Ophelia.

Now in For Pleasure or Worse, they are engaged and 6 months from their wedding. Their cam business is thriving and allowing them to afford fancy wedding in Key West. But things aren’t going as smoothly as they would like. Matteo is struggling with his company ever since Frankie moved to Colorado with Ophelia and he has yet to hire someone to help him with the workload. And his parents have spontaneously decided to visit from New York to help out with the wedding planning….and staying with them…for the next 6 months! Not only will they have to adjust to having his parents stay with them for months, but this will effect their cam business!

I loved this book and being reunited with Matteo, Tally, and their friends – including the Swan Brothers (the other Delta team members of Matteo and Frankie). It’s not often that we have books where the couple is already together at the start of the book and Karissa Kinword did an amazing job writing their story and struggles. She also did a great job of writing really mature characters that despite hiccups in their lives and relationship, they worked through things together and communicated their feelings (even when they were hurt feelings) and didn’t do something immature or rash.

I can’t wait for the books on the two Swan brothers and I really want a book about Matteo’s brother, Angelo, and Tally’s sister, Mia because the tension between those two who supposedly hate each other is too good!
