Book Review: How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories

This fall I read the Folk of the Air series by Holly Black and really enjoyed finally seeing what all the fuss about Jude and Cardan is. When I bought the box set, I also picked up How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories, which is a bunch of short stories about Cardan and kind of shows how he came to be the way he is.

I really enjoyed this book and getting to know Cardan a little better and understanding how past. I find him so interesting! It was also a nice little glimpse of him and Jude post-The Cruel Prince books.

If you read The Folk of the Air series and enjoyed them, I highly recommend this book! It’s a quick read too and has gorgeous illustrations inside which take up some of the pages so the book took me only a day to read.
