Book Review: Unsuited
Happy pub day to Unsuited by Erin Carrougher! I read book 1 in this series, Augland, last year and really enjoyed it so I was excited to read Unsuited.

The novel picks up shortly after the end of Augland. The novel is a dual POV and follows Ashton and Wolfe. I don’t want to spoil the book and also it’s hard to talk about the plot of this book if you haven’t read the first book. But essentially, the books take place in a post-war world where the US doesn’t really exist anymore and people live in these augmented worlds. Rich people can live in suits while poor people are the workers in these augmented parks.
Now, Ashton has gotten out of Augland and is living with the Colony while Wolfe tries to dismantle things from the inside and take over his father’s role of CEO. One day the Colony comes under attack from Augland and a bunch of children are taken. When a suit is found and repaired, Ashton is sent back to Augland in a suit so she can pretend to be a rich woman and try to find information as well as the kids that were taken. When she arrives though, Wolfe seems totally different than the guy she fell in love with and teamed up with to take down Augland. What happened to him and can she get what needs and make it out of the park alive a second time?
There’s a lot that happens in this novel and it’s really go go go the whole time. I really enjoyed being reunited with these characters that I liked so much in the first book. I did, however, feel like I didn’t get sucked in to the storyline as much as with the first book. I didn’t feel as hooked on it although I did like it and do plan to read future books in the series to see what happens next!
