Book Spotlight: Broken Water
I’ve been doing a deep clean and organization of my place so I’m trying to get through my back log of books I was sent for PR. One of them is Broken Water by Barbara Lane.

I read through parts of this book, but was unable to read the whole thing due to lots of things on my plate right now. But what I did read was really interesting especially since this is Barbara Lane’s real story.
Synopsis:
The novel is written by Barbara Lane, the 9th of 11 sisters, all abandoned by their birth parents, placed in St. Dominic’s Orphanage in St. Louis, and eventually separated into different homes.
This powerful true story takes you on a journey with Barbara through the many years she spent trying to reconnect with her long-lost sisters and solve the intriguing mystery of her family of origin – all while surviving life-threatening abuse she endured in the home of her foster father: a mafia grunt. Eventually, after 43 years apart the sisters were able to find each other again and reunite. They would spend the rest of their lives sharing stories of what their lives ended up being, and trying to piece together just exactly what happened that split up their family in the first place.
It was really interesting to read about Barbara’s early life and her quest to find her sisters and then reading about what became of all of them.
