Book Review: The Corpse in the Closet
This week I read the second book in the Riley thorn series by Lucy Score – The Corpse in the Closet. It was just as fun and entertaining as the first book.

The novel picks up right where The Dead Guy Next Door left off. Following Riley’s near death experience Nick is not too happy when his old parter, Weber, comes to the house and asks Riley to consult on a case that has him stumped. As Riley tries to figure out who killed the influencer mom, Nick is working on a missing persons case of a guy whose ex wife says has been unreachable for days. All of this sleuthing is going on while Riley’s disapproving grandmother is in town to try to whip her family into psychic shape. Of course, hilarious times ensue!
I loved being back with RIley, Nick, and the gang – namely her octogenarian roommates. I love RIley and Nick together. They are so funny and steamy together. It was fun to see them investigate and see Riley learn to control her abilities more and learn to use her psychic abilities to her advantage after trying to avoid her powers for most of her life.
Read this series if you want a spicy murder mystery romcom.
