Barnes & Noble Birthday Book Haul
I went to Barnes & Noble the weekend after my birthday with a clear list of what I wanted/was allowing myself to buy. Of course, I didn’t stick to the list, but I didn’t go over the number of books! In fact, I actually got one less book than planned. 2 of the books I wanted, they didn’t have on the shelves and I didn’t feel like asking a staff member to get it for me from the back (the website said it was in stock). Then, I saw that the books were half the price on Amazon! I was shocked – normally if the price is different, Amazon might have it for a couple dollars less but that’s it. I couldn’t believe these books were half the price so it worked out that I didn’t find them on the shelves so I could order them for less. I did end up getting a book not on my list though. Keep reading to see what was in my haul!

I got:
- Reckless by Elsie Silver – This is book 4 in the Chestnut Springs series.
- Hopeless by Elsie Silver – This is book 5 and the last book in the Chestnut Springs series.
- Masters of Death by Olivie Blake – I’ve heard good things about this book and want to read it as one of my Halloween reads. One of the salespeople at B&N saw me carrying it and said it’s a great read!
- Voyage of the Damned by Frances White – I had never heard of this book before, but I saw it on the table while waiting for my friends and was drawn in by the cover and gorgeous stenciled edges. Then, I read the synopsis on the inside flap and was intrigued. I looked it up on my phone and saw that it’s a UK booktok sensation that just got released in the US. Actually, my B&N put it out a few days early because I saw that the release date was for that coming Tuesday.
That’s my haul! I think it’s a good haul without going overboard. Have you read any of these books? I’m currently halfway through book 2 in the Chestnut Springs series and obsessed.
