Book Review: The Reckless Union

I have finished the Wedded Bliss series by Monica Murphy! The last book in the trilogy, The Reckless Union, was a good end to the series.

The novel picks up right where The Ruthless Groom left off. Charlotte Lancaster has been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend, Seamus, who also happens to be part of the Morelli family – an enemy/rival family to Charlotte’s husband’s family, the Constantines. Perry is sent text messages from Seamus of Charlotte tied up and is on a mission along with his brothers and Charlotte’s older brothers to find her and destroy Seamus.

I really liked the novel and seeing how far Charlotte and Perry have come. They went from reluctantly marrying after their parents arrange their marriage, to being insanely attracted to each other and getting to know and trust one another, to being so in love with each other that they’d destroy anything and anyone in the way of them being together.

I love Charlotte and Perry and their families. I, of course, am obsessed with anything Lancaster. My one critique of the book is that some of the dialogue was a little corny/cringey, which surprised me because I don’t remember noting that in the first 2 books of the trilogy so it’s weird to go backwards in writing. But, nonetheless, I still enjoyed the storyline and characters!

Charlotte and Perry are always mentioned briefly or in passing in the other Lancaster books. I hope they make a more prominent appearance in future books!
