Book Review: My December Darling
Another Christmas novella finished! I loved My December Darling by Lauren Asher. It is set in Lake Wisteria – the same town as Love Redesigned and Love Unwritten.

Side note: I made these low carb gingerbread cookies and was hoping to share the link to the recipe/steps in this post but they weren’t that good so they’re just a photo prop here!
The novella follows Catalina Martinez and Luke Darling. Catalina is a traveling nurse and she’s home in Lake Wisteria through the holidays for her sister’s wedding. The groom is her ex, which could be very awkward and perhaps there would be feelings of betrayal, but Catalina and he were never serious. What does bother her though is the best man – Luke Darling. She really doesn’t want to like him – she doesn’t know if she wants a relationship, she doesn’t plan to stay in Lake Wisteria etc. – but he is so nice, makes her laugh, and does things like buy an espresso machine to replace the horrible coffee in the break room at the hospital they both work at or buying an expensive Lego set because they both love Legos but don’t want to build them alone. Will Luke win her over and make her change her plans?
This was such a cute Christmas romance and I loved Luke and Catalina! Luke was top tier book boyfriend. He may have been a bit cheesy at times, but I loved it. He was just so sincere! This may not be related to the Lakefront Billionaire books, but it was fun to see little mentions or cameos since it takes place in the same town.
Read this if you want a spicy Christmas novella with reverse grumpy sunshine trope.
