Book Review: The Language of Love and Other Stories

The Language of Love and Other Stories by Nancy Christie comes out next week, February 4, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The book has a series of stories all about love – different kinds and forms of love, different stages of love etc. The stories range from a widower grieving losing his wife to cancer and parenting his young daughter on his own to a new mom having to care for her ailing grandmother to a older man and woman who have been friends for years, are both widowed, and think they may like each other as more than friends.

I really liked the premise of the book and reading about all different kinds of love. I thought some of the stories were pretty sad though! Overall, I thought the book was really interesting and a different kind of love book for Valentine’s Day!
