How To Throw A Memorable Work Event In Your Industry

As a business, everything you do matters and that includes work events. Within the industry you’re in, it’s important to find ways to stand out and make noise. A work event is a great way to do this, regardless of how established your business might be and how many work events you’ve thrown before – if any.

With that being said, if you’re looking to throw a memorable work event in your industry this year, then here are some helpful tips to get you started.

Choose a theme

Themes are a great way of making your work event stand out, especially when you’re competing with the previous performance of those in the industry. There are a lot of work events that happen throughout the year and yours needs to be able to stand out.

With that being said, a theme can help your work event really stand out from what’s previously been put on and how memorable it becomes for future industry folk to talk about.

Create your guest list

A guest list is the next step when figuring out the size of the event and for booking the event space and vendors.

Be aware of who you’re looking to invite and how that might influence the success of the night. Ideally, you want to get out your invitations as soon as possible in order to maximize the amount of RSVPs that come back as attending.

Decide on a venue

Talking of venues, the next step is finding one. If your work premises aren’t big enough for the party size, then finding a venue will likely be the next step in the process.

Think about what size the venue needs to be, and what type of venue it should b,e depending on the work event’s purpose and what suppliers you might want to bring there. For example, if you had a DJ and dancefloor booked, you’re going to need space for that to fit in. If you want to hire an event photographer then you might want to think about what lighting the venue has.

Choose your entertainment

Entertainment is a crucial one, especially when you have a large number of guests to look after. When choosing your entertainment, think about what type of entertainment will be suitable for the guests and the type of guests you have – like whether they’re from the corporate or creative world, for example.

For example, a magician might be a great choice. This one is useful for keeping guests entertained during downtime periods within the event.

Make sure you’ve got plenty of food and drink on offer

Finally, make sure that you’ve thought about providing plenty of food and drink when throwing a memorable bash. This is particularly the case if you have guests there for longer than just one or two hours. Feeding them is a great way to keep them there longer!

To help stand out in your industry, throw a memorable work event with these tips in hand.
