Book Review: Falling for Gage

One of my all-time favorite books is Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan. Since that book she has written 2 more books set in Pelion. Travis was the second book. The latest book in this series is Falling for Gage and follows Gage Buchanan, whom we’ve met in the previous books, and Rory Casteel.

Gage works in business and comes from a wealthy family in Calliope – the town across the lake from Pelion. Rory works at her family’s restaurant and bar in a small town a few hours away called Mud Gulch.

One night when Gage stumbles into her restaurant on a guys’ trip gone wrong, the two give each other a hard time but can’t deny their chemistry. They have one amazing night together and in the morning when they have to quickly leave each other they don’t think they’ll ever see each other again. That is until Rory shows up in Calliope using the name Aurora Castle and posing as an art appraiser. Rory is as shocked as Gage to see each other again. Rory is pretending to be an art appraiser working for her friend’s gallery in town in order to do some research/snooping in an effort to find her father. Her mom raised her and passed away when she was a kid, before she could find out more information about her father. All she knows is that her mom met her father when she was working a seasonal job in Calliope and that he was an artist or at least a talented amateur artist. She found a drawing of her mother by her father and is hoping to find more artwork in town with the same style and use it to track him down. Can Gage and Rory keep things platonic since she’s only in Calliope temporarily, he’s planning to move to London for work, and they could be related?!

I loved this book. I really liked Gage and Rory and their friendship/relationship with each other. I also love that we saw a good bit of the Hales – Archer, Bree, Travis, Haven, and their kids. The connection the characters have with them is perfect.

I don’t know if there is going to be another Pelion book, but I’d love a book on Easton, and also Mud Gulch books on Rory’s uncles!
