Book Review: Heavenly Bodies
Heavenly Bodies by Imani Erriu has been on my tbr for a long time and I finally read it this week. Of course, when I finally decided to start the series it’s being rereleased for trad publishing so book 2 isn’t being re-published until November! But that’s ok, I have something to look forward to because the first book was fantastic.

The novel follows Elara and Lorenzo. In this world the kingdoms are ultimately ruled by the Stars. Elara is the princess of the Kingdom of Night and when Ariete – the Star of War – attacks her kingdom and kills her parents, she flees to the enemy kingdom, the Kingdom of Light. King Idris of the Kingdom of Light, allows her to stay there but in exchange he wants her to be trained by his son, Lorenzo the Lion of Helios aka Enzo, to strengthen her magic in order to kill the Stars.
Elara and Enzo may start off as enemies, but their chemistry and attraction becomes hard to ignore. Can the two be together when they’re supposed to be enemies and when a prophecy says she is destined to be fall for a Star?
I loved this book. It was such a good time. The storyline was really engaging, the characters were great, and I loved the banter and chemistry between Elara and Enzo. It honestly was the kind of cuteness that had me wanting to kick my feet and squeal. And when the spice hits later, it’s perfection. The story also had so many little twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and made the story that much more interesting.
Read this if you want a spicy fantasy romance with the enemies to lovers trope.
