Book Review: Eyes On Me

Over the past few days I read the 2nd book in the Salacious Players Club series by Sara Cate – Eyes On Me. The series follows friends and co-owners of the ultra exclusive, Salacious Players Club – a high end sex club.

This novel follows Garrett and Mia. Garrett is one of the owners of SPC and best friends with Emerson from Praise. Mia is Garrett’s stepsister, 13 years his junior. The two have always bickered and got on each other’s nerves for the many years they’ve known each other. It’s brought up in Praise that the owners all have certain desires and kinks and that’s what prompted them to start SPC so that people would have a safe place to express their desires with likeminded people. Garrett’s kink is voyeurism. One night when he was feeling especially restless he begins looking at various apps. When he opens a camgirl app, he’s shocked to see Mia on there as a popular camgirl. His sudden attraction to her prompts him to join his family at their lake house for a week-long vacation so he can see Mia in person and figure out his attraction to her.

Mia has had a crush on Garrett for many years and his sudden appearance at the lake house has her wondering what he’s up to. Mia doesn’t know what Garrett will think about her career as a camgirl, but little does she know that he owns a sex club. Spending time together brings out their attraction to one another, but can they and should they act on it when they’re step-siblings and have an age gap?

This was a fun read and good time. The tension and spice was really good. The step-sibing trope didn’t really bother me, but that coupled with the age gap made it a little weird for me. But, obviously not enough to stop reading! I did really like Garrett and Mia and had a good time reading the book.

Read this if you want a spicy contemporary romance with the age gap and forbidden romance/step-sibling tropes.
