Book Review: Madame
Last week I read Madame, the sixth an final book in the Salacious Players Club series by Sara Cate.

The novel follow Eden St. Clair, Clay, and Jade. Eden has been a minor character in the previous books. She’s an extremely popular domme who works out of Salacious Players Club and is known professionally as Madame Kink. We first met Clay in Highest Bidder when he tried to win a date with Daisy. Jade is Clay’s girlfriend and the daughter of his boss.
Before Clay got together with Jade, he had been a client of Eden’s. They were seeing each other for months and got so close that it had started to turn into something more despite that being something Eden never does. She never gets emotionally involved or dates because she has a lot going on and has secrets in her personal life. But something about Clay makes her want to be with him. When Eden is too afraid to commit to Clay, he decides to end things in order to save himself from further heartbreak.
Now months later, Jade has learned about Eden. She knows Eden was Clay’s domme, but doesn’t know the truth about how close they became and she wants Eden to teach her how to be more dominant. Eden finds is drawn to Jade’s sweet and innocent personality and wants to help her, but isn’t sure it’s a good idea to get involved with Clay again. Can the three be together casually when Eden and Clay still have unresolved feelings for each other?
I enjoyed this book and liked Eden, Clay, and Jade. The storyline was interesting and the chemistry between the three of them was good. I did think Jade was a little whiny in how needy she was for Eden and Clay, but I suppose that’s on purpose because she is supposed to be a woman in her early 20s compared to Clay who is a bit older and Eden who is in her mid 30s so it shows her age. But, I think if she is supposed to be serious about wanting to be in this throuple, she’d be a little more mature instead of so emotionally driven, but at the same time it works to get Eden and Clay to communicate more.
Overall, I liked the book and it was a nice wrap-up to the series as well as sets up the second generation spin-off. I do wish there was a more detailed epilogue involving all of the original characters though.
