Book Review: Bespelled
I just finished Bespelled, the second book in the Bewitched series by Laura Thalassa yesterday and thought it was a great follow up.

The book picks up where Bewitched left off. Memnon framed Selene for the murders of the witches in the woods because he believes Selene is the one who cursed him to sleep for 2,000 years – or at least back when she was his love and soulmate Roxilana in her past life. But when Selene gets her memories back and is no longer cursed to forget things, they realize the truth about what happened thousands of years ago and that they have other enemies. What follows is Memnon vowing to make it up to her for the rest of their lives and Selene slowly falling back in love with him as he proves how in love with her he still is and the lengths he will go to protect her. Meanwhile, Selene and Memnon still need to find out who is behind the death of the witches and why they are targeting Selene.
I loved this book and loved that Selene was less stubborn about Memnon in this one than the last book. She really comes into her power in this book as she remembers her past and how powerful she is so I’m excited to see what’s to come in the last book next year. What her and Memnon can do together and against those who wronged them will be a sight to behold, I’m sure!
The next and final book comes out next summer, but before then I’ll read the prequel that tells the story of Memnon and Roxilana.
