Book Review: The Wrath of the Fallen
I just finished the latest book in the Gods & Monsters series, The Wrath of the Fallen, by Amber V. Nicole yesterday. It was for sure the most epic novel I’ve read in a while. Seriously, so much happened that I don’t even know if I remember everything!

The Wrath of the Fallen is the fourth book in the series and like I mentioned above so much happens in the book that I’m not sure if I even remember everything. I don’t want to give too much of the storyline away so I think I’ll just do a quick rundown of what everyone is up to in this book.
Dianna and Samkiel are trying to find more allies in their fight against Nismera. Samkiel is the rightful heir to the throne, but the leaders in the different realms are all afraid of Nismera and also power hungry and she has been lying to them with her manipulative ways leading them to think she’ll really give them more power.
Vincent and Camilla are on the run from Nismera after stealing the medallion that Camilla helped mend. They don’t know what the medallion can do, but they know it can’t be anything good with how badly Nismera wanted it put back together. The two run away together because they are in love and obviously want to get away from the psychotic Nismera. Vincent needs to stay away from Nismera because if he’s near her, he is bound to do whatever she says hence why he betrayed Samkiel and The Hand.
Cameron is adjusting to his life as an Ig’Morruthen and being reunited with Samkiel and Dianna. Reggie still isn’t back to normal and hasn’t had any visions in a while. They all worry for the fate. Miska is adorable and getting to be a kid and live with people who love her and that she loves.
And the biggest surprise character developments of the book – Kaden and Isaiah. Kaden is the most human (for an Ig’Morruthen) than ever and actually acting like he cares about people in this book. Death brings him back after Samkiel killed him with Oblivion. He rescues his beloved brother, Isaiah, and when they return to Nismera they quickly learn the truth about their dear sister and that she has been using and manipulating them their whole lives. Everything they thought was true about their lives and Unir, their father, and even their little brother, Samkiel, has been a lie manufactured by Nismera to fit her plan and needs. They leave Nismera and Death has a plan for them in his grand plan to fight Nismera.
Meanwhile, Neverra, Logan, and Imogen are still locked in their own minds and the others haven’t figured out how to free them yet. Xavier is with The Eye, the rebellion group against Nismera led by Kryella, Athos, and other gods.
See, there’s so much going on! I loved this book. It was definitely action packed. On one hand, I loved everything that was happening and the wins they were securing. On the other hand, every time they seemed to be making progress against Nismera or it seemed like a character was being rescued or characters were coming back together – something huge would happen that would set them back like 5 steps and it was so frustrating! I just want them all to be reunited, the ones locked in their minds to be freed, and Kaden and Isaiah to really part of the group too and they all fight against the extremely evil, Nismera!
In this book, besides Dianna and Samkiel, I especially loved Kaden’s character development, Miska learning how to fend for herself but also being given the opportunity to be a kid, and the growing deep love between Vincent and Camilla.
I hope we don’t have to wait a very long time for the next book because I need to know what will happen next, especially after the cliffhanger of this book.
