Shield of Sparrows Quote

Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry was one of my favorite books of 2025. I did a book review for it and a aesthetic post and have mentioned it in other posts. There is a quote in it that I tabbed when reading and wanted to eventually share. I took the photos for this post last week before I was hospitalized for a few days, but how coincidental that the sweatshirt I chose to wear for these photos was my “Read books and fight the patriarchy” one from Inkwell Threads, given the extreme disappointment and anger I have felt over the past few days over the US Olympic Men’s Hockey Team situation.

Anyway, the particular quote I wanted to share is:

“Only fools and liars burn books and people’s homes.”
