Off Campus TV Series
If you’re not new to my page then you probably know the Off Campus series by Elle Kennedy is one of my all time favorite series. When I read the original series years ago, I read all 5 books in a week! I have since bought multiple editions of The Deal (my favorite of the series) and of the whole series. I even bought a Briar Hockey Garrett Graham long sleeve tee from Elle Kennedy’s official shop 4 or so years ago. When I heard they were making the series into a tv show, I was excited but kept my expectations low. There have been a ton of book to movie/tv series adaptations in recent years and I have not seen most of them because a lot of times the movies just don’t look great. Especially casting! But then I saw the trailer for Off Campus and I instantly knew it looked so good. Then, we got the news that the show was picked up for a season 2 even before season 1 aired!
I was savoring the 8 episodes of this first season because I didn’t want it to end. The show was cast so well and I am obsessed with Hannah and Garrett! Who knew when I bought this shirt 4 years ago that I’d be wearing it while watching the show come to life on my tv screen?!
I watched most of the episodes over the weekend. These photos are from Sunday afternoon. I made mini naan pizzas with hot honey drizzle and then enjoyed a few episodes. I saved the finale for last night and was so happy with the season! The show is currently number 1 on Amazon Prime world wide and the whole cast, crew, writers, all deserve it after delivering such a great adaptation!
There were a few things I wish were in this season that were in The Deal, but I’m thinking (and hoping) they include them in season 2 since I think some storylines for Hannah and Garrett will carry on to the next season and beyond. A few of the changes they made for the show made sense because the book is older so they had to update it and some things just made more sense for tv since not everything in a book can translate to the screen. Some of the changes I didn’t care for like creating the character of Jules and showing Joanna Maxwell on screen. They both annoyed me! But there were a few things like the scene where Hannah sings over the loud speaker with Garrett is on the ice that were added in and I didn’t know I needed in my life!
Anyway, I’m sure I’ll be gushing about this series again soon!
