Rainy Day Recap

On Saturday I had some fun fall activities planned including going to a farm about 30 minutes northwest of me that was having a glow maze – a 10 acre corn maze with glow in the dark/glow stick elements. But, of course, a nor’easter had to come and ruin my plans! My friends and I didn’t make the decision to not go until that afternoon. The farm ended up staying open for it but it was not pleasant out that evening and half of the farm activities (besides the maze) were closed so we decided to save our tickets for another day even if the glow maze wouldn’t be available again this season.

I had planned to do a mini-vlog and document my fall fun day, but when the rain came I decided to still document my rainy day.

I had chia pudding with berries for breakfast and read Lost & Found on my Kindle.

Then, I went out in the rain to go to a session I had booked at StretchLab. I have been going to StretchLab since August and I love it!

Next, I went to my parents’ house for a brunch/pancake lunch since I hadn’t seen them in a week. I decided to go after StretchLab since I would probably be spending the rest of the day hunkered down at home.

I had to pick up my mandavilla multiple times since the high winds kept knocking it over. Eventually, I just left it on its side until the wind wasn’t so crazy.

I got changed out of my workout clothes and put on an oldie but a goodie bookish Halloween sweatshirt. It says “Afterlife Book Club”.

After getting dressed in comfy clothes, I watered my house plants.

I had time to take out my fall decor.

I read some more of Prince of Swords, but ended up falling asleep on the couch for a while after a few chapters. Then, I read some more when I woke up!

I also had some time to work on my next Mariana Zapata puzzle. I’m taking my time with this one and not in a rush to finish it.

I had planned to be out at the farm for dinner so I had to make something last minute which ended up being cheese quesadillas with my low carb tortillas and leftover onions from my mini onion boil.

After dinner, I relaxed on the couch to work on my blog and read some more of my physical book and Kindle book.

And before bed I watched another episode of Outlander since I am catching up on the final season. I just finished the last episode last night which is just in time because I am going to an Outlander concert tonight! I’ll report back on that experience later this week!

And that was my rainy day in! It was a bummer that we had to postpone our corn maze outing, but I really did enjoy my low key rainy day too.
