    Panel Art

Monday already. I don’t know where the weekends go! This week shouldn’t be too hectic for me barring any crazy things coming up. However, next week is going to be super busy for me so I’m going to try to take advantage of the free time I have this week. I have another home decor post coming your way today. You may remember that I’ve mentioned before that my townhouse has a really large wall in the dining area. The ceiling is really high since you can look down in to the dining area from upstairs which means there’s a lot of empty wall. This wall is not done yet,…

    Scratch & Draw Book

I’m all about finding new, creative ways to relax and a few years ago I jumped on the adult coloring book bandwagon. A few weeks ago when Quarto reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try one of their Scratch & Draw books, I was immediately intrigued. Instead of coloring, the Scratch & Draw books give you pages of drawings and a blank page with a metallic coating to recreate the drawing on or create something on your own. With the included stylus, you draw on the blank page by scratching away at the metallic coating. I received the Scratch & Draw Enchanted Animals. I love the idea…

    Photo Challenge: Lines

It’s finally Friday! It’s been one of those weeks where every day I thought for a split second that the next day was Friday and unfortunately, it wasn’t. But it is Friday, so let’s get to today’s photo challenge response! Last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Lines” and I really did not know what I was going to use for my photo. I was scrolling through photos on my phone and saw this photo I snapped last summer at a Starbucks. This wall art of metal lines curled up to look like a steaming hot cup of coffee is curled around light bulbs for a wall art/light…

    Photo Challenge: Collage

Happy Friday! It has been so hot lately and I’m headed into the city (New York City) for the day so I’m mentally preparing myself to pretty much melt. Really exciting news – I had my first real deal photo shoot yesterday for the blog! I can’t wait to share the photos, but I posted a few behind the scenes pictures on my Instastory last night so if you’re quick you can catch them before they disappear! It was so hot and humid despite the photo shoot being at 7pm so I’m hoping I don’t look sweaty in my photos! Anyway, today is Friday so as usual I’m posting my…

    Photo Challenge: Reflecting

Happy Friday! The week went by pretty quickly, but I’m still glad the weekend is upon us. Like last week’s photo challenge post, I’m cheating a little. Last week, I posted a photo of lightning and shared that it was actually a video that I screenshot and that my brother had taken it (although I was next to him when he took it. Does proximity count?) For my photo challenge response to “Reflecting” I’m using another photo that I didn’t personally take. Why didn’t I take it? Because I’m in it! This photo was taken at my cousin’s wedding in Toronto two years ago, which I briefly wrote about (here) when I…

    Photo Challenge: Surprise

When I saw last week that the photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Surprise” I really couldn’t think of what to use for my photo. I seriously was wracking my brain trying to find a photo or think of a photo to take that might fit the prompt. Then, last weekend I was in the city to see Anastasia on Broadway. Before the show I went to lunch at Bareburger and shortly before arriving at the restaurant I saw some sidewalk art that made me stop in my tracks to get a picture. This sidewalk art can be found in spots throughout New York City and New Jersey and I find…

    September 2015 Favorites

September 2015 Favorites by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring neutrogena skincare It’s hard to believe that another month has gone by and it’s October already! I really don’t know how time passes so quickly. With the close of another month, I’ve rounded up some things I loved in September to share with you. I got this planner that says “Something beautiful is on the horizon” for just a few dollars at Marshalls at the end of August. I’ve totally jumped on the planner bandwagon, but I haven’t invested in any fun and cute stickers or anything yet. For now, I’m simply writing in my planner my tentative blog post schedule and little…

    Photo Challenge: Humanity

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do for the latest photo challenge from The Daily Post. When I read last Friday that the challenge was going to be humanity I started racking my brain for ideas of pictures I have taken in the past that might represent “humanity”. Unless you live in a city or are currently traveling, I think it’s hard to take a good picture for this category in a few days so you’re mostly limited to previously taken pictures. I’ve traveled to a handful of places in the world and have seen various aspects of humanity, but no pictures that I can remember…
