    Sequins + Tulle

If you watched my Instastories over the weekend you probably caught one of my various photos and videos from my friend’s beautiful wedding. Today I’m sharing my wedding guest look! I began looking for a dress for the wedding in the late spring because I didn’t know how long it would take me to find one I liked, plus I would be away for a week at the beginning of July and I didn’t want to be rushing and stressed to find something. I didn’t quite know what I wanted, but I did know that I what I really wanted was something with mixed textures i.e. solid top and feathered skirt.…

    Tropical Punch Romper

It may be getting into the later parts of September and fall may be my favorite season, but I’m not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet. I mentioned it in a previous post, but I’ve still got a few looks to share from the summer so we’re not getting into fall fashion quite yet on here. Nothing screams summer like a romper with a print named “tropical punch” and when you look at the print you can see (if you think anything like me) that it definitely lives up to its name. Romper: Asos This romper definitely gives me Hawaiian vibes and I feel like I belong at…

    Jumpsuit Bandwagon

I’ve jumped onto the jumpsuit bandwagon! Jumpsuits are big right now and understandably as we’ve seen a huge comeback of 70s fashion this season. I’ve always loved wearing rompers and thought I should try out the pants version aka the jumpsuit. Jumpsuits, like maxi dresses, are tricky for me since I’m so short and many of them are made for taller or at least people of average height! I’ve mentioned it on here before, but in case you missed it I’m around 5’2 so yeah, pretty petite. So anyway, I’ve loved the look of jumpsuits from afar for a while now but never took the plunge. Then, I came across…

    Tricky Trend: Sleeveless Coat

Tricky Trend: Sleeveless Coat by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring ASOS Sleeveless coats/trenches are a trend that I’d love to try out on my own. They look so chic and a piece that can easily dress up a normal, average outfit. I love the look of the long sleeveless coats, but I’m short so I think my best bet would be to go for the shorter ones — the ones that hit at mid thigh. Any shorter than that and it’d be a vest! The piece would give the appearance of a more slender, taller me. What do you think of this trend?

    Throwback Thursday: Off the Shoulder

Tricky Trend: Cold Shoulder by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring an off shoulder sweater Recently Polyvore had a contest (if you didn’t already know, I love the style contests on there) called “Tricky Trend: Cold Shoulder”. Off the shoulder or one shoulder looks can be tricky. You want to make sure the whole look goes together well. I don’t personally own any completely off the shoulder tops (meaning off both shoulders), but I have one or two loose sweaters that go off one shoulder. It’s such a fun look and so casual chic. I’d love to own more but it’s not exactly something I can get a lot of versatility from since it’s not…

    Heart Elbow Patches

Elbow patches are making a comeback, you may have noticed. When I think of elbow patches, I think of tweed jackets and movies with old male professors. But, elbow patches have been revitalized and seem to have gotten quite the following. A friend of mine loves elbow patches and has a few shirts/tops with them. While I’m not all about them, I did come across this cardigan with heart elbow patches! I think it’s a fun take on the trend and how could I resist adorable hearts on my elbows? Cardigan: ASOS Tank: Forever 21 Yoga Pants: Express I love the navy blue and white stripes. Navy blue seems to always look good with…
