Throwback Thursday: Off the Shoulder

Recently Polyvore had a contest (if you didn’t already know, I love the style contests on there) called “Tricky Trend: Cold Shoulder”. Off the shoulder or one shoulder looks can be tricky. You want to make sure the whole look goes together well.

I don’t personally own any completely off the shoulder tops (meaning off both shoulders), but I have one or two loose sweaters that go off one shoulder. It’s such a fun look and so casual chic. I’d love to own more but it’s not exactly something I can get a lot of versatility from since it’s not something I can wear to work! Anyway, this set I put together reminded me of an off the shoulder top from The Limited I used to own and love back in college. Since it’s Thursday I thought I’d share a little throwback Thursday picture featuring that top.

Talk about throwback! Oh to have a summer tan and to be so thin again!
