Getting Ready for Fall
Fall has quickly become my favorite season in the past few years. I don’t know why considering I associate fall with summer vacation being over and having to go back to work. However, there’s just something about fall that I love. The crisp, cool air. Apple cider donuts. Breaking out the cozy sweaters. Oh and ushering in the holiday season, of course. Since I’m in a new space (my townhouse), I picked up a few fall decor things. I didn’t want to go overboard with decorating, plus I don’t have the money to! So it was just a few things. First, I got this super cute leaf candle holder from…

Owl Luminary
It’s no secret that I love candles, but what I love almost as much as I love 3-wick candles is a seasonal, festive, or just downright cute/pretty candle holders. Last month, I had a coupon for Bath & Body Works and the online store was also having a Columbus Day sale. Armed with these two discounts, I got my hands on this adorable Owl Luminary. This luminary is so cute. I love the way the lit candle looks shining through the owl. I read some reviews online and a few people said they wished the eyes were open so that the candle light could shine through the eyes as well. But,…

Photo Challenge: Off-Season
This week has been a whirlwind and I feel like I’ve been all over the place that I’m getting so confused about what day of the week it is! Anyway, it’s Friday which means it’s Photo Challenge Friday here on Life According to Jamie. I’m going to be honest, my photo response to The Daily Post’s challenge this week, “Off-Season”, is not very creative and is a bit boring. Nothing sprang to mind from my archives and I didn’t come across anything this week that felt “off-season” to me. The only thing that I could even remotely consider as “off-season” was my candle. I love burning candles and I normally just…

High-End & Budget Christmas Gift Guide
Christmas is a week and a half away! As it gets closer, I thought I would post a gift guide for anyone who is still scratching their heads on what to buy. I thought it would be fun to come up with both high-end gifts and lower cost/budget alternatives. First up, high-end! High-End Christmas Gift Guide by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring Diptyque The Tory Burch logo is famous and I think these stud logo earrings are so cute. They’re simple and not flashy. Definitely a sophisticated look. A good pair of rainboots is always useful and why not put usefulness and style together! I love candles and I am always hearing about Diptyque…

Old Factory Candles Review & GIVEAWAY!
I was recently offered the opportunity to review a set of candles from Old Factory Candles and if you know me well, you know that I jumped at the chance because I love candles. I got to choose one theme or set of candles. There are a whole bunch to choose from and so many sounded good, but ultimately I went with “Spa Day” because it sounded like refreshing and clean scents. They also aren’t seasonal so I can burn them whenever. Each set comes with 3 candles and “Spa Day” comes with cucumber, lemongrass, and green tea. The candles burn cleanly and smell amazing. The cucumber one especially smells…
