    Pearl Embellished Shift Dress

I bought this pearl embellished shift dress with a bow back in the fall and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. Graduation this past Friday was that perfect opportunity. Since I was the MC again, I wanted to wear something a little bit nicer than just a regular dress. This champagne colored dress has pearl embellishments towards the bottom and across the neckline. The rest of the dress has a pretty, subtle gold shimmer. The detachable necktie/bow is navy blue and red and has a sparkly embellishment as well. And as an added bonus, it has pockets! Dress: Vici | Shoes: DSW The dress has a…

    Geo Pleated Henley Dress

I love outfits that look like two pieces but are one. Whether it be a layered top, a dress, a romper – you name it. Anything that looks like you actually layered something together to make a great outfit, but you really did no work at all because it’s one piece is a winner in my book. I love this dress with the henley style blouse on top connected to a geo printed pleated skirt. A few people asked me if it was a top tucked in to a blouse and I excitedly told them it was a dress! The elastic waist with drawstring made the already comfortable dress even…

    Grapevine Balloon Sleeve Dress

I love flowy dresses in the warm weather. They’re infinitely more comfortable than wearing pants, in my opinion! Today, I’m sharing this flowy dress with a grapevine print and sheer balloon sleeves that I think is so pretty. It has a drawstring waist so you can wear it as tight or as loose as you want at the waist. It is a light pink with the light red/berry colored grapevine print. Dress: Vici | Sandals: DSW The dress has buttons down to the waist and the skirt has an asymmetrical hem which adds to the flowy look. I wore the dress with light tan double strap sandals for photos but…

    Grey Medallion French Terry

Earlier this month I shared a pink french terry dress with large florals. Today, I’m sharing the same style dress in a different print – a grey dress with an all-over medallion print. By the way, can we talk about how it’s almost the end of October already?! This grey medallion dress has the same cozy french terry feel and again has convenient pockets. I wore the dress with a cobalt blue cardigan and black boots. Dress: Apt. 9 via Kohl’s | Sweater: Chadwicks | Boots: DSW I debated whether to wear a pink cardigan or blue since both colors are featured in the medallion print, but I ultimately decided…

    Pink Trim Drop Waist Dress

How was your weekend? Mine was not as relaxing as I had hoped. I mean, I knew I had a lot of things to get done, but I wish I had a little more down time. After a week of things just not going right and a weekend that continued with that theme, I’m hoping that this new week will be completely different. I’m trying to be super productive today and get a few blog posts knocked out tonight since tomorrow I’ll be out at a concert after work and Wednesday night I’m going to a ceramics place for a fun holiday craft (more on that at a later time!)…

    Pink & Green Floral Dress

Yesterday, I went to in to the city for a New York Fashion Week event to celebrate the launch of an upcoming fashion app. I was so on the fence about going, but I’m glad I did go and got out of my comfort zone. If you saw my Instagram stories yesterday you got to see some of the event. I’ll be writing all about it later in the week! But today’s post is about this dress with a beautifully vibrant pink and green floral print and ruffle detailing. I love the pops of hot pink against the green. I wore it with pink ankle strap block heel sandals. These…

    Floral Flounce Dress

Did you catch my post yesterday featuring my visit to The Peninsula for afternoon tea? It was a really nice experience and the hotel was so pretty. There is a dress code for afternoon tea, so I wore this sleeveless floral dress with flounce detailing and a little tie at the neckline. It was the perfect dress and it was summery and feminine for the occasion. It also is loose fitting and a breathable fabric which was perfect for the Hong Kong humidity. Dress: Francesca’s | Sandals: Target I love the muted colors in the floral print. It will be a great transition piece in to fall with a nice…

    Winter Garden Flounce Dress

Why is this print called “Winter Garden”? I have no idea – especially since this flounce dress is sheer so I’d never wear it in winter. But since it is sheer it’s perfect for the warm weather. The florals in this navy blue dress are beautiful appliqu├ęs – some that have a velvet feel to them. The details in this dress are so pretty! There is an attached slip inside since the dress is sheer, but unlike the grey crochet top I recently shared, this attached slip was ill fitting. The straps aren’t adjustable and it cuts way too low – like half of my bra would show. so I…

    Multicolored Skirt Keyhole Dress

If you caught my Instastories over the weekend you may have seen the sneak peek I posted of this dress. This one: Let me just start off by saying I absolutely love this dress and it was the perfect dress for me! So back in March or April I was looking for a dress for my friends’ weddings. I bought 2 dresses from Lord & Taylor for 2 of the 3 weddings I had coming up – I planned to re-wear a dress from a few years ago to the other wedding. Two weeks ago I shared the black & gold dress I wore to wedding #2 of the spring,…

    Houndstooth Dress

Houndstooth always makes me think of old, vintage looks circa 1960s. It’s so classic and smart looking. When I saw this houndstooth dress, that has pockets (!), I automatically knew I wanted it. It has a good thickness to it and there is some subtle sequins on the dress so it gives the classic style a nice, modern update. I wore this dress to work with black tights (that have a fun lace chevron design), and black booties. Dress: Goodnight Macaroon | Tights: LOFT | Shoes: DSW | Watch: Anne Klein This dress was so comfortable to wear to work all day, although at first the arms were a bit…
