    Floral Embroidered Sweatshirt

How was everyone’s weekend? Hopefully good! I had a pretty busy weekend and this week is probably going to be just as busy with work and deadlines I have to meet. Not fun, but my spring break is just 9 work days away! You guys know I love comfy clothes and florals so it should come as no surprise that I absolutely love this grey, lightweight sweatshirt with coral pink and green embroidered flowers. I love the way the floral design pops off the grey sweatshirt. And the small embroidered flower at the back under the neck is the cutest detail. Happy Thoughts + Star Joggers

Today’s Election Day! I don’t have off from work, but I will be heading to my polling place right after work to vote. If you’re registered to vote, I hope you’ll be voting too! Today I’m sharing a casual, lounge outfit that I wore over the weekend. I got this top and the joggers in the same GAP order that I placed with my jade tee I wore a few weeks ago that is embroidered with “Dear weekend, I love you”. The star print joggers are super comfy and soft. Seriously, they’re like a dream! They fit perfectly, have the cutest star print, drawstring waist, and they have pockets! The teal…

White Stripe Joggers + Weekend Tee

Are you the kind of person who gets changed in to comfy clothes as soon as you get home? I am! Actually, I like being as comfortable as possible at all times, which is why the rise of athleisure is perfect for me for those casual non-work days. Over the weekend I wore the perfect casual, comfy outfit for runnings errands and having a lazy day around the house. These black joggers with white stripe down the pant legs are so soft and have a decent thickness/weight to the material without being uncomfortable. I paired it with my new tee that has writing on it in embroidery. It says “Dear…

    Embroidered Olive Green Dress

You all know green is my all-time favorite color but olive green is my favorite for fall. It’s the perfect fall color. It’s not as bright as mint or kelly green and has that darker, muted color. It’s also not as rich as emerald green so it’s that perfect in-between/transition color. And to top it off it goes amazingly well with creams and browns which I always associate with fall. So when I saw this olive green dress with the prettiest floral embroidery I had to have it. The colors in the embroidery are so pretty and considering I previously thought color combos involving olive green were limited, they go…

    Olive Green Floral Peplum

I’m back home after my short 24 hour trip to Baltimore. I’ll be writing a post all about it including what we did, where we ate, and all the bizarre things that happened during our time there. A Friday the 13th trip for sure! That post will be going up next weekend most likely so be on the lookout for that. In the meantime, I’m sharing this olive green sleeveless peplum top with pretty pink floral embroidery down the center. The flowers are different shades of pink and I think they look so beautiful against the olive green. Such a pretty color combination! Green and pink always give me spring…

    Embroidered Tie Front Tee

My first full week off from work for the summer is complete and it’s been so busy I feel like I’m not on break at all! But that’s ok, it’s been a good kind of busy. And so many things going on means I also have more to share on here, so it all works out. The other day I wore this short sleeve tie front top with floral embroidery at the shoulders. I think the top is so cute so I had to share it on here! I wore it with navy blue shorts and blue and white striped slides with fringe detailing. Top: Target | Shorts: SO via…

    Floral Embroidered Mock Neck

It’s always hard to come back to work after a long weekend or break. Hopefully today goes by pretty smoothly! It’s supposed to be pretty hot today, but I’m sharing a look today that’s perfect for those more mild or cool spring days. I wore this floral embroidered mock neck top last week. Despite it being long sleeves and a mock neck, the top is very thin and lightweight so it’s not really that warm. I love the bright floral embroidery against the black. I think if you did a search on my blog you’d find a dozen (or more) blog posts that have “floral embroidery” in the title. But…

    Sheer Floral Embroidered Peplum

A few weeks ago I met up with my friend and professional photographer, Jaye (Jaye Kogut Photography), for a spring photoshoot at Sayen Gardens. I was a little nervous about being cold wearing spring clothes because even though we had penciled in this date a long time ago and had thought late April would be nice and pleasant, the weather had been really cold leading up to the date. So I was truly blessed that the day ended up being the nicest day in a while! It was in the upper 60s and sunny and overall amazing! The look I’m sharing today is actually the last outfit we shot. I’ve…

    Green Velvet Embroidered Dress

Today I’m sharing one last look I shot with Lauren Ashley Photography last month. It’s the last look I’m sharing from that day, but was actually the first outfit I wore that day. This green velvet, embroidered dress has such beautiful details. I knew I wanted to get this dress professionally photographed to capture the rich colors and details. It was a pretty chilly day when we shot these photos in March, so I decided to wear taupe over-the-knee boots with the dress. It helps to make the dress cold weather and day time friendly. Floral Embroidered Zip Skirt

It’s no secret that I love florals. I’ve also been vocal about my love for exposed zippers, but since I wear a lot more florals than I do pieces with exposed zippers you may have missed the memo. When I saw this skirt on the LOFT website around the holidays I knew it was for me. Floral embroidery? Check. Exposed zipper? Check. And while I love exposed zippers in the back, the fact that this skirt has an exposed zipper down the middle of the front of the skirt makes it so much more fun. I paired the grey skirt with a blue top with lantern sleeves, which I wore…
