Multicolor Stripes – 70s Vibes
As soon as I saw this oversized top with multicolor stripes it immediately made me think of the 70s. The colors just scream throwback. The top is really soft and lightweight. The oversized fit of it makes it perfect for cozying up in, but it’s not so oversized that you can’t make it work for other occasions. I wore this top on Friday to work with brown pants and boots – and a chunky cardigan – since it was cold due to the unexpected snow. But for these photos I styled the top in my go-to style – jeans and flats. Top: Vici | Jeans: Kohl’s | Shoes: Express I…

Oxford Blue Sweater Dress
Happy Thursday! Last night is the first weeknight in a while that I went to bed before midnight and I’m pretty happy about it. I’ve been wanting to get to bed earlier for a while now but I always get caught up doing work or I plan to get to bed earlier and then I remember something that I forgot to do etc. But I got to bed earlier last night so hopefully today is a good day! It might snow this afternoon, which would be good and bad. Good because it would continue to get me in the holiday spirit, but bad because I probably won’t get out of…

Leopard Print Cardigan
For the longest time I disliked animal prints. If you asked me a few years ago, or even a year ago, if I’d ever wear a leopard print cardigan (let alone anything) I would give a firm no. I was just never in to animal prints. But, for some reason this year they’ve been growing on me. When I see them now, I don’t have an instant aversion. In fact, it’s gotten to the point where I have bought a leopard print cardigan as evidenced by this post! I knew I wanted to finally get a leopard print item so I was on the lookout for a sweater or cardigan…

Chambray + Tulle
Happy Saturday! I’ve been so tired lately so sleeping in a bit this weekend is like a dream. Today I’m sharing the second look (second of three) from my fall photoshoot with Lauren . I have to say, I absolutely love this outfit. I had this idea in my head for months to wear a chambray shirt with a tulle skirt. The chambray shirt is one I’ve had for a few years and the tulle skirt is one I got last winter. I didn’t know if it would turn out as good as I imagined it in my head. I was thrilled that it did turn out well and in fact,…

Yellow & Black Floral
Why do Mondays always come so fast? Many teachers in New Jersey have off this week for teachers convention, but not me. Hopefully the week will be pretty smooth and easy though. Today I’m sharing a look I wore to work last week. It is a button down black top with all-over golden yellow floral print. Fun fact: I got this top in Japan! I went in to an Uniqlo there since the company is originally from Japan. I spotted this top and really liked it and the rest is history! Top: Uniqlo | Pants: Old Navy | Shoes: Aldo The fit of the top is loose and the top…

Brown & Pink Floral
How was your Halloween? If you saw my Instagram stories then you know I bought two bags of candy from Costco and I was hoping that I got trick or treaters or else I’d have a ton of candy left over. There are a lot of families and kids in my development but you never know if they go out trick or treating or not. At first it was really slow, but eventually I was getting nonstop kids and in groups. I went through 1 and 3/4 bags of the assorted candy from Costco! It was hard to get anything done because I was constantly having to answer the door.…

Foil Florals + Faux Suede
If you caught my Instagram stories yesterday when I shared my outfit of the day then you saw this outfit. I took these photos last weekend, but wore this outfit to work yesterday. The long sleeve tee is dark blue with a painted and foiled floral print in the front. The flowers feel like they are painted on and some have that sheen to it like they are foiled. The design and color combos are so pretty. I paired the top with my faux suede button up skirt that I’ve had for a few years. Finishing off the look I wore tights and my brown slouchy boots. Top: LOFT |…

Pink Keyhole Tunic
I’m fully embracing fall clothing now despite the up and down temperatures. One day it’s cool and in the 60s and the next it’s in the 80s. But I’m ready for all things fall! I’m sharing the outfit I wore last weekend in today’s post. It’s a light pink flowy sleeveless top/tunic with little gold embellishments and peachy pink ribbon detailing. I wore it with brown leggings, a maroon-ish boyfriend cardigan, and my pink quilted slip-ons. And I can’t forget my pink octagon shaped sunnies! Top: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Sweater: American Eagle | Leggings: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Shoes: Steve Madden via DSW | Sunglasses: Quay…

Pink Floral French Terry Dress
French terry has to be one of the most comfortable materials ever. I love my french terry items because they’re so soft and cozy. French terry is a knitted terry cloth and it’s usually super soft. Just think, it feels like you’re dressing yourself in a plush bathrobe or towel! I got this pink french terry dress with large florals on it and I love it! I wore it to work earlier this week just as I wore it in these photos – with my trust chunky cocoon cardigan and taupe booties. It was such a comfortable outfit that looked really put together and stylish. Dress: Apt. 9 via Kohl’s…

Embroidered Olive Green Dress
You all know green is my all-time favorite color but olive green is my favorite for fall. It’s the perfect fall color. It’s not as bright as mint or kelly green and has that darker, muted color. It’s also not as rich as emerald green so it’s that perfect in-between/transition color. And to top it off it goes amazingly well with creams and browns which I always associate with fall. So when I saw this olive green dress with the prettiest floral embroidery I had to have it. The colors in the embroidery are so pretty and considering I previously thought color combos involving olive green were limited, they go…
