    Holiday Beauty Gift Guide 2019

I used to be obsessed with getting limited edition holiday beauty items. They were just all so cute! But over time, I became more realistic – I don’t really need all those limited edition products and I don’t need to spend all my money on them. So in recent years I pick out just one or a few things that I really really want and think I can get a lot of use out of. I picked up 2 holiday beauty items during Black Friday from Ulta. I had my eye on a few Too Faced holiday items – they always have the cutest holiday sets – but I ultimately decided…

    Holiday Pajamas

I’m a big fan of pajama sets. I don’t always wear matching pajamas – sometimes I mix and match lounge pieces I have, but I can’t say no to a cute pair of pajamas especially holiday ones. I think holiday pajamas are the ones I buy the most. And sometimes cute short sets in the summer. I got 2 sets of holiday pajamas this year on sale and since it’s Thanksgiving weekend a lot of sales are still going on. So if you’re like me and love holiday pajamas and comfy cozy ones at that, then keep reading! The first pair I bought this year are from the Extra Soft…

    November 2018 Favorites

It’s the last day of November! How?! I felt like it was the beginning of November when Thanksgiving was around the corner and now we’re at the very end. As usual, I’ve rounded up some things I loved this month that made it into my monthly favorites. First up, I know everyone goes crazy for the Starbucks holiday cups but they really are so pretty. Here are shots of 2 of the designs. They just make me happy! Speaking about holiday, I put up my Christmas tree the weekend before Thanksgiving. Usually I wait until the day after but I was busy all Thanksgiving weekend so I did it early. I…

    Christmas Memories

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love this time of year because everything is so festive. I love Christmas decorations and everything is just pretty, merry, and bright. It’s usually cold enough here in December to feel like winter, but not bitterly cold like in January or February. The night air smells good like a mix of pine, chimneys, and crisp air. Everything just feels magical! I love the quote above and think it’s so true! So to get in to the holiday spirit I thought I’d share a few sweet Christmas memories with you all. My family’s Christmas tree is pretty standard in terms of decorating…

    Happy Chinese New Year

Today is Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year. This year is the year of the Goat or Sheep depending on what you want to call it. I’ve heard it both ways. There are a whole list of traditions and things that people do to prepare and celebrate the new year – way too many to list here and my family only does a handful of them. I thought I’d just share a couple food pictures of things that my family ate (or made in advance for today) last night for New Year’s Eve, which is a mix of typical foods for the new year and things my family traditionally…

    Christmas Nails

I did my nails yesterday and decided to go with a Christmas theme since Christmas is just a few days away! I kept it really simple and fool proof, but the effect is fun and Christmasy. I used OPI’s “Alpine Snow”, Sephora by OPI “Good Tidings We Bling”, and a Revlon top coat. Even the nail polish names sound wintery and festive! I did 2 coats of the white, “Alpine Snow”, polish.  Then I put on “Good Tidings We Bling” which is all different size glitters of red and green. After about every 2 nails, I had to shake the bottle up to make sure I was getting glitter and…

    Thanksgiving Eats

Thanksgiving and food go hand in hand. It’s a time to reflect on everything you are thankful for and on a lighter note a time to eat to your heart’s content. Here are some snapshots of what I ate on Thanksgiving!   I had family visiting for the week and my cousin brought her fondue set. I love cheese and chocolate fondue so I was super excited for this! We had some cheese fondue as an afternoon snack before we feasted for Thanksgiving dinner.   We bought an electric fryer recently and decided to fry our turkey this year.   The turkey came out so delicious and moist, but left…

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! It’s hard for me to believe that it’s already Thanksgiving (and the day is almost over at that) time. Time really does fly. As always, I’m thankful for my family and friends near and far and all the wonderful things in my life. This year, as it is my first year of blogging, I am also grateful for all of you! All of the people who take the time to read my posts and visit my little corner of the Internet from all over the country and even all around the world – you really are amazing! It means so much to me and…

    Holiday Makeup Haul

As mentioned in my last haul, the holidays are upon us in the makeup world and in real life too. I’m a sucker for pretty and/or adorable packaging so it comes as no surprise that all the holiday collections are pretty detrimental to my health and wallet. The collections always look so amazing and combine that with the fact that they’re all limited edition it’s hard to restrain myself! I’ve gotten a couple of things so far and I know I will be getting a few more and yes, I know it seems like a lot but believe me there are so many more items that I could’ve gotten as well…
