    Holiday Lunch at 1906

How was everyone’s first week of 2017? I hope you got the year off to a good start! When I went to Longwood Gardens at the very end of 2016, my family and I ate lunch at the fine dining restaurant on the premises, 1906. I ate there back in June during my first visit to the gardens and loved it so much that I had to get a reservation to go back this time around, especially to try out their winter/holiday menu. I really wanted to go for dinner since I went for lunch last time and because the Yuletide Menu is dinner only, but the restaurant was booked…

    Photo Challenge: Resilient

Happy Friday! My first week back to work hasn’t been too bad and aside from those first day blues I’ve adjusted to being back. Well, other than being exhausted all week. Last Friday when the new weekly photo challenge was announced (“Resilient“) I was at Longwood Gardens taking in all of the holiday decorations before they were all taken down. Christmas at Longwood Gardens

I hope everyone has gotten a good start to 2017! I was supposed to be back at work today, but on Thursday we found out that the school decided to give us the day off (since the holiday is observed today) so school resumes tomorrow. Anyway, although we’re past the holidays now I have one last holiday post for you! Over the summer I shared my afternoon at Longwood Gardens wandering the beautiful gardens.…

    Photo Challenge: Look Up//A Dedication

Sometimes they post a challenge that fits something I just recently took a photo of or they post a challenge and I come across something within the week that is a total lightbulb moment. This week is one of those weeks. The photo challenge this past week was “Look Up“. When I read this challenge, I thought for a moment and knew exactly what photo I wanted to use because I had recently saw it in photos I was going through. On Monday, I wrote and posted a…

    Longwood Gardens

Hi all, as you may have read yesterday, I’m back from Alaska but have loads more to share with you all from my trip traveling around “The Last Frontier” for 12 days. However, as I get myself organized and rested up from traveling I thought I would share my YouTube video from my day trip last month to Longwood Gardens as opposed to a travel post. I’ve also come home very tired and to very sad personal news. I questioned whether I should write my post today at all, but keeping busy is best and blogging brings me joy which I could use right about now. So for today’s post, I’m…
