Christmas at Longwood Gardens
I hope everyone has gotten a good start to 2017! I was supposed to be back at work today, but on Thursday we found out that the school decided to give us the day off (since the holiday is observed today) so school resumes tomorrow. It’s going to be tough going back to work after so much time off, but having yesterday off was a great gift so hopefully this is a sign of good things to come in the new year!
Anyway, although we’re past the holidays now I have one last holiday post for you! Over the summer I shared my afternoon at Longwood Gardens wandering the beautiful gardens. Well, when I heard that they go all out for Christmas I knew I had to go back to check it out!
Click the video below for look at the Christmas magic! It’s a bit lengthy but it is worth it!
I took a ton of photos and although I’m sharing quite a few on here today, trust me there were about 100 more.
Yes, that is a Christmas tree made completely out of succulents!
The largest living wreath I’ve ever seen!
All of these mini Christmas trees had school names underneath and had all these hand made ornaments. I’m assuming Longwood Gardens lets various schools decorate a tree!
One of my favorite shots from the day! I love love love the lights in this tree.
This last tree was so breathtaking and if you can tell from the above photo there were chimes all over the tree so when the wind blew it made a beautiful chiming sound. Love! I hope you can hear them in the video below!
I’m so happy I went to see Christmas at Longwood Gardens. It truly was a magical holiday wonderland! I can’t even imagine how much work went into creating this whole wonderland.
And so concludes my final holiday post. I may have one or two holiday related food posts coming up but this is my last full fledged holiday post until the end of the year. And I’m in no rush for this year to already come to a close!
