Restyled: Red Plaid Shirt Dress

I’m back to work and after two full weeks off for the holidays it’s going to be so hard to be back to the real world today! Hopefully the day goes by stress free and isn’t too bad.

The restyling I’m sharing today is of a dress I originally wore on here 2 or more years ago! When I wore my blue & green plaid dress on hereΒ and mentioned my red plaid dress it made me want to wear it. So I did just that a few weeks ago. I decided that I would wear it a bit differently than the last time I shared the dress on the blog that way I could do a restyling post.

When I originally wore it for the blog I paired it with a white cardigan, brown tights, and brown slouchy boots. I also wore the dress with the matching belt that ties. This time around I decided to go off the black in the plaid in the dress instead of going the brown route.

For my restyling I decided to wear my grey oversized sweater cardigan, grey tights, and black slouchy boots. I also decided to replace the matching tying belt and use a thin pink belt I have instead. The tighter belt gave the shirt dress a more defined shape and I like the pop of color the light pink gives to the red dress. I think the beltΒ definitely helped tie the dress all together and ensured that my comfy look didn’t veer into frumpy territory.

So that does it for my latest restyling! I hopeΒ you all have a good day, especially if you are headed back to work today as well!
