    Snap Button Fleece Jacket

Happy Easter! Easter is pretty low key for me and my family normally so it’s not a big change for us to be social distancing. My parents and I had Easter dinner last night instead with ham, mashed potatoes, etc. I hope all of you that celebrate have a wonderful day even if you are unable to celebrate the way you normally would. For today’s post, I’m sharing this lightweight mint fleece jacket with snap buttons. First, I love the color. Second, I think the snap button closure is neat since most fleece jackets are zippers. There always seems to be such a short time period when we can wear…

    Reversible Bomber Jacket

Happy April! I hope things start to get a little better this month for everyone. March was challenging and I know we’re still in for the quarantining for a while yet, but I hope things start to take a turn soon so we know there’s an end in sight! So March was blah and then to top it off I was watching The Good Doctor season finale the other night and they *spoiler alert* killed off one of my favorite characters and I was so mad! So here’s to a better April. I love a good bomber jacket and I’ve had two (still have them) over the years. One that’s…

    Faux Teddy Fur Zip Up

Happy Friday! It’s been a tiring week so I’m looking forward to getting a little extra sleep this weekend. While it’s been a tiring week, it’s also been a little exciting with a new endeavor I’ve finally started. More on that when I’m ready to share! Today I’m sharing this faux teddy fur zip up. If you love all things cozy like me, then this is a must have! This fuzzy, furry, cream zip-up is lined inside, has a hood, and has a ribbed hem and wrists. The quality of this jacket is amazing and I have no idea how it’s only $14.50!! It’s originally $45 which makes more sense,…

    Hershey at Christmas

The last time I went to Hershey, Pennsylvania I was probably around 10 or 11. Needless to say it’s been a long time and it’s only about 2.5 hours away from me. My hopes of going somewhere tropical this winter vacation were dashed by semi last minute planning and the very high prices of warm weather destinations during the winter. So when thinking of places nearby for a quick getaway, my family and I decided to go to Hershey since I’d heard it’s supposed to be nice for the holidays. We went for 2 days and it was a nice time and not too jam packed, which offered time to…

    Snowflake Brooch

For Christmas, I was really lucky to receive a bunch of gifts from students. Among my gifts were a few gift cards, a lot of chocolate, hand lotions, etc. I also received this snowflake brooch which I think is so pretty and since brooches are making a comeback I really loved the gift! I pinned it to my green lapel coat and wore it a few weekends ago with my white knit beanie. Coat: Goodnight Macaroon | Beanie: Gap I don’t remember the brand of the brooch, but I think the box was Liz Claiborne which is usually sold at Macy’s. I think the snowflake would look great on most…

    Navy Blue Quilted Jacket

We’re getting close to the time of year where we need to break out our winter jackets for the next few months, but before we get there I wanted to share a lighter weight jacket. Back in the summer I was at J.Crew and saw this navy blue quilted jacket with gold hardware and instantly loved it. I did not love the price tag, however. It wasn’t ridiculously expensive, but it was more than I wanted to spend at the time on a jacket despite loving it. I love navy blue and the quilted jacket looked so nice. The gold zipper and buttons looked so good against the blue too.…

Lapel Coat + Plaid Elephant Tee

Although it’s supposed to reach 80 degrees today, it was colder by about 30 degrees last weekend. Probably worth mentioning it’s going to be colder by 30-40 degrees tomorrow too, so I’m enjoying it while it lasts! I’d like a spring and not just skip over it to summer. Anyway, last weekend it was a little chilly so when I was out and about all day I wore this green lapel coat. It’s such a fun coat and I love the extra wide lapels – so fashionable! To go with the green of the coat, I wore a tee I got for Christmas that has a plaid elephant on it.…

    Ice Skating Look

Ice Skating Date by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring Yves Salomon   I haven’t been ice skating in years, but it’s such a fun winter activity. I’ve only ice skated in an outdoor rink once, but I have gone indoor ice skating many times. I’m not a great skater, but I can make my way around the rink without falling. When Polyvore had an ice skating style challenge, I thought it’d be fun to put together a winter look. I love this winter jacket! I haven’t been in to bubble jackets since they were popular when I was in high school. But this jacket is quite fitted so I think it actually…

    Chic Oversized Coat

Chic Oversized Coats by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring brown leather boots Yesterday felt like summer! Today is supposed to be nice too, but as with your average spring weather some days are cool and some are warm bordering on hot. Spring and fall are the perfect times of the year to play around with outerwear. You’re more limited in winter, unless you have enough spare money to buy multiple winter coats, but those are more expensive than lightweight jackets for spring and fall! The oversized coat look has been around for a while. An oversized coat is perfect to throw on when it’s a bit cool because you can wrap yourself…

    Tame Winter with SOREL

Tame Winter with SOREL: Contest Entry by lifeaccordingtojamie featuring SOREL It looks like winter is beginning to wind down, but as mentioned yesterday I’ll take advantage of the season for as long as possible. With that being said, I wanted to do one last winter outwear look this season which might interest you if you live in an area that is still super cold and snowy or if you’ll be vacationing somewhere cold and snowy soon. Or if you just like looking at outwear fashion. I love these Sorel Tofino II Boots with the light grey color, purple laces, faux fur trim, and black rubber upper. These boots are also fleece…
