Yin & Yang Statement Ring
I’ve long been a Baublebar fan, but lately they’ve really been upping their game with jewels that aren’t too in your face, but still fun. An example is this yin & yang statement ring. The ring isn’t too big, at least not as big as a cocktail ring, but still makes a statement. I love the bright white enamel and then the multicolor gems on the other half. So pretty and perfect for summer! Top: LOFT | Ring: Baublebar (here) | Jeans: Express | Shoes: DSW I’ve linked to the ring above, which is currently on sale for $26! I wore the ring to work last week with my crochet…

Photo Challenge: Beloved
When I thought of what to use for my photo challenge response to “Beloved“, I had a specific pair of earrings in mind. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the earrings, but I found an equally beloved piece of jewelry – this pink cubic zirconia ring. I’ve worn this ring in outfits on the blog before, but this post is going to be about the background of this ring and why it’s beloved. This ring belonged to my mom and she gave it to me, which is one reason it’s beloved, but there’s actually more to the story. When I was really young I used to play dress up all the time.…

Stella & Dot PavΓ© Triangles
It’s not a secret that I’m a big fan of both rose gold and dainty jewelry. I do love statement pieces too, but for work my look tends to be more simple just for practical reasons. So when my bestie gave me these Stella & Dot PavΓ© Triangle cuff and ring in rose gold as a gift, I immediately loved them! Both the cuff and ring are adjustable, which is perfect for me because my wrists are pretty small and I like wearing statement type rings on my middle finger. The rose gold is very subtle on these pieces leaning more yellow than pink, but very pretty nonetheless. And as…

Photo challenge: Connected
Fridays are back to being much anticipated since the school year aka work started back up. You think students are excited for Friday? I think teachers are even more excited! So Friday mornings mean the weekend is within reach and it also means it’s Photo Challenge Friday on the blog. This week The Daily Post’s challenge was “Connected”, which could be interpreted literally like the bridge they offered in their example or something more symbolic. I decided to go with symbolic this week since last week my response was quite literal. For my response to “Connected” I decided to share a picture of a ring I have in my new…

Pleated Dress
This past Saturday I went to a party for my friend’s baby. The event was not formal, but still a dressy affair. I picked a dress that I have had for a while, but never got the chance to wear. It is a plain, sea foam green dress with an empire waist and pleated skirt.Β The dress has spaghetti straps, which is too cold for this time of year. That paired up with the fact that the dress is plain, I decided to wear a sparkly sweater. As always, any fashion/jewelry items still available for purchase (to my present knowledge) will be linked below! Dress:Β Apt. 9 via Kohls Cardigan:Β Sequin Dolman Cover-Up…
