    Photo Challenge: Silence

    Friday I thought you’d never come! I’ve had a cough all week and I desperately need some downtime this weekend. Unfortunately, I have to go in to work tomorrow for an open house event, but at least I can sleep in a bit. Last week’s photo challenge from The Daily Post was “Silence” and I decided to go with this photo I took during (well technically after) a snowstorm back in 2016. I love the end of a snowstorm when everything is silent, still, and peaceful outside. Do you know what I’m talking about? You open your door and everything is completely still outside.     Photo Challenge: Against the Odds

    Last week’s photo challenge was “Against the Odds” and I’m using a photo from last winter as my photo response. It is definitely not from this week considering it is going to be 70 degrees today! Yes, in February! I first shared this photo on here in my post last winter about being snowed in due to a blizzard. I thought this photo would be a good photo response for “Against the Odds” as a sort of symbolic picture.     Snowed In

    Snowed in. Literally. My area was hit with a blizzard over the weekend and at the time that I’m writing this (11PM on Sunday night) my street has still not been plowed yet! So although my driveway is cleared, I am literally trapped. The snow began Friday night and steadily and at times heavily continued until late Saturday night. In 24 hours, we got over 30 inches (taking snow drifts into account). The wind was crazy at times hence the snow drifts.
