    Blue & White Tulip Back

Happy Memorial Day! Hopefully you have off from work today, if you’re in the US, and can take advantage of the long weekend. When this post goes live, I should be going through security at the airport heading home from my weekend trip to Toronto. A blog post on my trip coming at you in a few days! Today, I’m sharing a top I wore to work last week. It’s blue and white which is a color combo that I always associate with the summer – very nautical combination – and since Memorial Day Weekend is always the unofficial start to summer this is a fitting outfit to share. This…

    Striped Short Bell Sleeves

Short bell sleeves always make for fun tops. It’s like belling out the sleeves instantly dresses up the short sleeve top. This striped top has billowy bell sleeves and it’s a a sweater material so it’s perfect for work. Top: LOFT | Pants: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s |¬†Shoes: Target The stripes in this sweater look black, but in person they’re actually a dark blue which is a nice change since most classic striped tops are black and white. Overall, this top is a great staple piece for your closet. It’s great to wear with dark wash jeans or black pants like I did here for work!

    Striped Midi Jumpsuit

My first day back to work yesterday was okay. I was surprisingly not too tired considering I kept waking up every hour. I think I was subconsciously afraid I would oversleep. Hopefully the rest of this week goes smoothly. The jumpsuit I’m sharing today is technically a midi, but it’s a little closer to a full jumpsuit on me since I’m short. Not quite full length, but definitely closer to the ankle than a midi should be. It doesn’t bother me though. This striped midi has tie straps and is a loose fit, so it’s comfortable and has a sort of overalls feel to it since it has tie straps.…

    Striped Button Sweater

Last day of work before spring break! I’ve been writing my posts a few days in advance this week which I tend to do when I know my week is going to be crazy and especially before I travel. That way I’m ahead so when I first arrive at my destination I’m not stressed about deadlines and I’ve got a 1-2 day leeway. So as I’m writing this on Monday night and daydreaming about today (Thursday) being the last day of work before break, hopefully nothing crazy has happened in the meantime. Anyway, the look I’m sharing today is the look I wore to see the cherry blossoms over the…

    Rainbow Stripe Cardigan

T-Minus 4 days until spring break! I am so excited for a week long break as I am in desperate need of a break. If you’re a teacher and haven’t started spring break yet either, I’m sure you feel the same way! So for today’s blog post I’m sharing my first look from my most recent photoshoot with Lauren. As it’s finally feeling more like spring out, the trees are budding and blooming, and Easter is this weekend – hello pastels! – I’m sharing this rainbow stripe long cardigan. I saw variations of this sweater all last year and loved the look. I finally got one of my own this…

    Rainbow Stripe Sweater

I’ve seen a few similar sweaters to this one in the past few months, but in my (biased) opinion, this one is the best! So like i said, I’d seen a few like this one and then I saw this on sale at Nordstrom and the quality of this one looked top notch, as expected with Nordstrom. I love how bright the rainbow colors are against the white knit. And I think it’s so fun that it runs from the end of one sleeve, up and across the chest, and down the other sleeve! I wore this with jeans and faux suede pointy toe loafers. I took these photos last…

    Pink & White Striped Sweater

Sometimes sweaters that feel like yarn-y materials are thick, soft, and warm for winter. Sometimes they’re lightweight and just super soft. Of course, I always opt for soft. I will never wear an itchy sweater! This pink & white striped sweater is super soft and not heavy or thick at all making it the perfect transition sweater. Its bubble gum pink makes it fun and bright for the spring weather ahead and the long sleeve, sweater style makes it perfect for the still cool temps. I wore this sweater to work yesterday with black stretch cords and black fringe loafers to make it work appropriate, but I took photos over…

    Skinny Stripe Sweater

Stripes are such a classic pattern and I do love a good stripe. This sweater is a little different because the thin, skinny stripes are concentrated in the center leaving a thick white trim at the wrists, neckline, and hem. I wore it with black leggings, black flatform espadrilles, and a crystal pull bracelet. Sweater: LOFT | Leggings: J.Crew | Shoes: DSW | Bracelet: Givenchy via Macy’s I usually opt for wide stripes, but I like this skinny black stripes in this sweater. The skinny stripes and boat neck style looks very European. The sweater has that gauzy feel to it so it’s not too heavy and perfect for the…

    Strawberry Lemonade Sweater Vibes

I’ve been on a color block stripe sweater kick this winter and this yellow and pink one makes me think of strawberry lemonade. It’s nice and thick for winter but the bright colors are the perfect transition in to spring. This is my last look from my winter shoot with Lauren, but was actually the first look we shot that day. I paired it with jeans and my faux suede heeled boots. Sweater: Vici | Jeans: Express | Boots: Red Dress Boutique I love the big block stripes in this sweater. It’s flattering and the colors make me so happy! That wraps up my winter shoot with Lauren. We have…

    Striped Shimmer Sweater

Yesterday I had a snow day and was off from work. It was a good thing too because I was scrambling to figure out what to wear to work. If you want to skip my story, then just scroll down for my outfit details. Otherwise, keep reading! So what happened was on Sunday evening when the snow started to really come down, I was at my parents’ house. I was there for a birthday dinner (my dad and brother). We originally had dinner reservations but the snow storm was poised to hit around dinner time so we decided to order our food to go so that we’d be done eating…
