    Piercing Emerald Bobble Stitch

Happy Wednesday! It’s always nice when you have a long weekend and day 2 of work is already mid-week. Though, sometimes shorter work weeks feel longer. I have a very busy weekend ahead though so I’m not even sure I’m in a rush for that! So what exactly is bobble stitch? I’ve been seeing the term crop up a lot this winter. I looked it up and it’s similar to popcorn stitching where all the stitches are worked in to the same loop. This bobble stitch sweater is in the shade “Piercing Emerald”, but it’s a little more of a jade color in my opinion than emerald. The stitching is…

    Fuzzy Pink Animal Print Sweater

Happy Monday! I”m off from work today for Martin Luther King Day and I’m off to brave the freezing cold temperatures to do some winter photos with Lauren. Fingers crossed I’m not a popsicle by the end! Today I’m sharing the outfit I wore yesterday – a fuzzy pink animal print sweater. I don’t know what animal print this sweater has – tiger? zebra? Express just lists it as “animal print” so I guess we’ll stick with that. It has a slightly cropped fit – it hits right at the hip – so I wore it with high waisted leggings for a casual weekend look. | Sweater: Express (here) |…

    Sparkle Dot Sweater

As you can see in these photos we got some snow yesterday. I don’t know why that one tree by my place still has leaves on it – it’s like the only tree with leaves. So weird! Anyway, hopefully today it’s not a mess outside with ice and whatnot. Now, I’d love a snow day when I actually have work! Anyway, a few years ago I bought two sweaters that had tinsel stripe detailing and I still love them so much that I have not gotten rid of them even though I have like a gazillion sweaters. Tinsel detailing in clothing is just so fun and pretty! I’m always on…

Restyled: Loopstripe Sweater + Faux Leather Leggings

Faux leather leggings have been everywhere for months. I contemplated getting the infamous Spanx ones when they were on major sale a little while ago, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend like $70 on leggings. Plus, I’ve never bought Spanx leggings before so I didn’t even know if I’d want the leather ones. However, I did still want to try out the trend, but for less money in case I had a Ross Gellar moment and I hated them. Hopefully you all know what episode I’m talking about! I found a pair of vegan leather leggings at Express that were on sale for Black Friday and my mom actually…

    Dusty Sage Oversized Pullover

It was ridiculously warm over the weekend. Like spring temperatures warm! It was so nice to be outside, but extremely weird considering it’s January in the northeast! It’s back to being cold though and this weekend and next week is supposed to be pretty cold. So to wear this oversized, dusty sage cozy pullover over the weekend was a little warm. But, I was comfy so it was comfortable to wear with leggings, a tank top underneath, and I wore it without a coat so I was good. I got this pullover because so many people were talking it up on social media and how amazingly soft and cozy it…

    Mauve Faux Fur Sweatshirt

While green is my all-time favorite color, mauve is a strong second. So when I saw this mauve, faux fur sweatshirt I thought it would be perfect for a cute winter look. I wore it to see the new Star Wars movie last weekend with distressed jeans, and taupe wedge sneakers. Sweatshirt: Target | Jeans: American Eagle | Shoes: Steve Madden via DSW I love how soft this sweatshirt is due to the faux fur, but if you’re worried that you’d be too hot in it, the inside is not furry. At first, I wasn’t sure if I liked that or not because it’s not soft inside, but once you…

    Striped Oversized Waffle Knit

Happy Friday! This first week back to work hasn’t been too bad, but I’ve been extremely tired every single day. Hopefully after this weekend I can start feeling normal again. I love a good waffle knit sweater. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who said they didn’t like waffle knit. I love that this waffle knit is a striped one and not just regular stripes. There are white and beige wide stripes and thin bright pink stripes breaking them up. I love the colors! I front tucked it in to a pair of distressed high-waisted jeggings and wore my lace up UGGs. I finished off the look with my…

    Green Tie Waist Dress

If you remember back on Thanksgiving I wore a pinky mauve tie waist dress (with a plaid ruana) and said it was so comfortable and figure flattering. Well, good thing I ordered it in another color at the same time and hoped for the best because I love the dress! It is that good. It’s just a simple dress – it feels sort of like a thicker crepe material – with slight balloon sleeves and a tie waist. There’s nothing fancy about it, but it’s easy to dress up or down and like I said it is super comfortable and flattering. I think it would look good on so many body types…

Dot Texture Sweater + Fair Isle Beanie

It’s my last day of winter break before I’m back to work on Monday. It’s definitely sad to see my break ending, but I know I’m lucky that I got 2 full weeks off. I know most schools started back up yesterday. I was actually supposed to go back to work today for a staff professional development day, but right before winter break our administration said we could do a “virtual” pd (just watch 2 videos and answer questions) and come back on Monday when the students come back! Definitely a nice and unexpected surprise. Anyway, today I’m sharing my last look from my holiday shoot with Lauren. It’s the…

    Quilted Pullover + Plaid Detailing

I love pullovers in the winter. They look good with jeans or leggings and usually the comfort level of them ranges from pretty comfortable to insanely comfortable, so that sounds amazing to me. When I went to Hersheypark last week, I knew I wanted to wear something warm to the park since I’d be outside all day and going on the rides. I was definitely going to wear my coat, but I wanted to also wear something underneath that would be warm, but not bulky. I didn’t want to be uncomfortable! So basically, I needed good layering pieces. I immediately thought of my green quilted pullover with plaid detailing. It…
