Restyled: Shaker Knit Sweater + Plaid Shirt Dress

I hope you all had a good weekend and you’re not too down about the fact that it’s back to work today. The outfit I’m sharing today is not just a restyling of the sweater and of the plaid shirt dress, but it’s also kind of a throwback look since it’s kind of 90s looking. I wanted to wear this blue and green plaid shirt dress to work last week, but I knew with it’s lightweight material that I’d need a sweater since I would most likely be cold. Instead of wearing it with a cardigan, I decided to wear my shaker knit sweater over it. I wore sweater tights and…

    Strawberry Lemonade Sweater Vibes

I’ve been on a color block stripe sweater kick this winter and this yellow and pink one makes me think of strawberry lemonade. It’s nice and thick for winter but the bright colors are the perfect transition in to spring. This is my last look from my winter shoot with Lauren, but was actually the first look we shot that day. I paired it with jeans and my faux suede heeled boots. Sweater: Vici | Jeans: Express | Boots: Red Dress Boutique I love the big block stripes in this sweater. It’s flattering and the colors make me so happy! That wraps up my winter shoot with Lauren. We have…

    Piped Button Trim Sweater

Last year I got rid of one of my favorite sweaters. It was a black and white striped top with black piping and diagonal black buttons from the neck to the shoulder. Although it was one of my favs, I decided to finally part with it because it was starting to feel a bit snug and I figured it was just time to move on. It was still in good shape, so I sold it on Poshmark. And I’m telling you this was a good top, because the girl who bought it from me said she was buying it because she used to have the same one but hers got…

    Sorel Kinetic Waterproof Boots

Happy Friday! Yesterday was a long day at work. I had parent/teacher conferences from 8am-6pm so it was pretty tiring. I’m hoping today goes by seamlessly and I can just get home to relax (aka do laundry and make dinner). Considering that this past Monday was a snow day, you’d think this week would feel short, but it felt so long! This week has also been really cold. Probably the coldest it’s been in a few weeks with real feel temps in the teens. The cold weather coupled with the snow storm earlier in the week made me want to dedicate a whole post to my Sorel Kinetic Waterproof Boots.…

    Blue Velour Sweatshirt

When I think of velour, I think of the 90s or early 2000s and matching top and bottom track suits. But I guess it’s making a comeback because I’ve been seeing some velour sweatshirts lately! In my opinion, it’s great for loungewear. Not as luxurious or warm as velvet, but great for pieces like this blue sweatshirt. I love how vibrant the blue of this sweatshirt is and the white piping stripes is a cute detail that helps break up the blue. Sweatshirt: Abercrombie & Fitch | Leggings: J.Crew | Boots: UGG This sweatshirt is perfect for wearing around the house and also for any casual outing such as running…

    Color Block Chevron Sweater

If you know me, you know I love my sweaters. I collect cute ones every winter and don’t get rid of nearly as many as I buy so I’ve got a ton of sweaters in my closet. This color block chevron sweater is a new one this season. The colors give me 70s vibes, which if you’ve been following me for a while you also know I’m totally in to these days. Sweater: Vici | Jeans: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Boots: UGG I love all the colors in this sweater and they go together so well. This sweater is so soft and definitely oversized with its slightly ballooned…

    Oversized Knit Turtleneck

I’m back to share the second look (of three) that I shot with Lauren for our winter shoot. For this look I wore an oversized open knit turtleneck, jeans, and boots. I’m pretty particular about turtlenecks because I don’t like things really close to my neck, but since this one is oversized, it’s nice and loose. Sweater: Vici | Jeans: Express | Boots: Red Dress Boutique | Ring: BaubleBar This sweater is so cozy. I love oversized, chunky sweaters and this one is just my style for cold winter days. It’s open-knit so I wore a tank top underneath. Originally, I planned to wear a long sleeve tee underneath, which…

    Beige Leopard

I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m really in to leopard prints this year. It ‘s surprising considering for years and years I never wore animal print and said I would never! But all of a sudden, this year something switched in me and I am drawn to the print! Albeit, subtle iterations of it, but still it’s a huge deal for me. This beige leopard sweater is just what I mean by subtle. It’s not bright or in your face. It’s subtle, soft, and comfortable with it’s mock neck, slightly ballooned sleeves, and legging friendly length. Sweater: Red Dress Boutique (here)| Leggings: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Shoes: Steve…

    Whip Stitch Saddle Bag

Happy Friday! This week has felt so weird. I had Monday off for President’s Day and then this past Wednesday it was an early dismissal due to snow. Half the time I didn’t know what day it was! But I’m happy it’s almost the weekend so I can take a little time for myself. Today I’m re-sharing this ruffle half-zip sweater from last winter because I wore it recently with a new bag – the Moda Luxe saddle bag with whip stitch detailing. The bag was a gift from my cousin and it’s the perfect berry tone for winter and really it’s a great shade for any time of the…

    Grey Eyelash OTS Sweater

You all know my love for off-the-shoulder, OTS, sweaters and soft, cozy materials. Eyelash sweaters are one of those cozy materials and thankfully rarely itchy. Over the weekend, I wore this grey eyelash OTS sweater with black leggings. I also love sweaters that are long enough to wear with leggings, obviously! Sweater: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl’s | Leggings: J.Crew | Boots: UGG | Earrings: Red Dress Boutique Like many off-the-shoulder sweaters, you could wear this is as cowl-neck but it might be a little uncomfortable because there is a little bit of elastic on each shoulder. I was fine wearing it off-the-shoulder since I was indoors most of the…
