2-Part Bang Twist

I’m currently growing my bangs out. I’ve had side bangs for a few years now and decided it was time to grow them out. They’re not too annoying, thankfully, unless I have my hair up. Anyway, I wanted to try something new besides the regular twist and pin. I saw a super cute fold over bang twist at The Small Things Blog and thought it looked really simple. It’s important to note that I’m not, I repeat – I am not a hair expert. My abilities are seriously limited. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to do this, but it just wouldn’t work for me! Either my hair is too fine to properly fold over and pull through or I just stink at this. So after much trial and error I decided to just stop because after putting the bobby pins in and pulling them out tens of times it was starting to take a toll on my hair. I had to do something with my hair since I had been playing around with it so much so I pulled back the first section and then with the section that I had been trying to fold over, I did a simple twist and pinned it over the first section.

I think braiding your bangs and pinning them back is a great simple way to add something different! If I have a bit of time in the mornings, I also like to make three small braids from my bangs then braid them and pin it back! I had trouble growing my bangs out to where they are now and because they are curly it’s a pain, so I feel ya, sista!
