Diagonal Stripes OOTD

Stripes can be tricky to wear. Stripes can look great orrrr not so great – depending on the cut/style of the piece you’re wearing and how wide the stripes are. Stripes have a bad rap for making people look wide, but sometimes you can find a striped piece that is cute, classy looking, and doesn’t make you feel wide at all. Yesterday, I cheated and wore a top with diagonal stripes. Diagonal stripes have a slimming effect, for sure! I love this top because it’s something different than the normal stripe and the stripes are made up of little sequins. There is a tie and keyhole at the back of the neck. The top is also perfect with a cardigan for work or without for an evening look.

I love this top and it’s not something you see a whole lot of – I wish they made more tops with diagonal stripes!
