Chambray Romper

I hope all who celebrated had a lovely Mother’s Day yesterday! In yesterday’s post I talked about denim on denim and mentioned that I would be wearing a chambray outfit for Mother’s Day. As promised here’s the look!

I swear I ironed this before putting it on, it just wrinkles so easily! But whatevs! Moving on, since I was mostly in the house today prepping for a family dinner for the occasion, I wasn’t really going to be wearing shoes hence the barefoot pictures. But, if I was going to be out and about I would probably wear dressy flat sandals or espadrilles if I wanted to be dressier. The romper is from LOFT and is super comfortable, which is always a win in my book. The neckline is a bit wide so I felt like the top half of the romper was constantly shifting, but other than that it fit nicely. The only other thing I would change is I think it would be an even better fit if the waist was elasticized (is that a word?). The matching chambray belt is a separate piece that is fed through loops. But again, I’m still a happy camper with this romper!

When I see chambray, I mostly see items that are in the button down shirt variety, so I found this romper to be a refreshing change.

I hope you all have a great start to your week. I have about 5 weeks left to the school year and I’m starting to really feel myself dragging. Hopefully this week goes by without a hitch!
