Denim on Denim

First off, Happy Mother’s Day! If it is Mother’s Day wherever you are in the world, I hope you are enjoying your day with the mothers in your life or getting pampered yourself if you’re a mommy!

Denim, chambray, denim on denim was a huge trend last year and while I believe it to still be popular you don’t quite see it as much as of late. I still love the look and think lightweight denims, especially chambray is great for spring when the days might be pretty warm and the evenings cool.

In the above set I have two denim on denim options. One, your classic light denim chambray top with contrasting darker jeans. This can be super casual or alternatively dressed up a bit with the right accessories. The second option is a denim dress with a floral pattern which I think is just too cute for words! The back also has little cut-outs which make it even more cute and feminine. I paired it with a light denim jacket for those cool nights and love the look of the light denim jacket against the dark dress. With both looks, I chose white sandals with a zipper detail because white and denim just go so well together.
