Christmas Wrapping: DIY Gift Tags & Bows
How was everyone’s weekend? Aside from a trip to the movies Saturday morning to see Rogue One (which I will write about in an upcoming review post!) I rested up at home since I caught a cold at the end of last week. I’m feeling much better than I was Friday/Saturday. I’m so relieved because I did not want to be sick during my days off and for Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I can’t believe it is Christmas week! Honestly, where does the time go? Today I’m sharing a video and some pictures of my recent gift wrapping exploits. As I stayed in Saturday night to rest up and fight my cold, I decided to get some wrapping done (I still have some more to do) and decorate my own gift tags and make bows out of wrapping paper. I wrote a how-to post on the bows last year which you can read (here).
For the gift tags, I bought plain brown tags from Hobby Lobby and used markers and 3D Christmas stickers I bought last year when I made my own cards so those might look familiar to you if you’ve been following me for that long.
I attached my gift tags a few different ways onto the gifts, which can be seen in the video in more detail. One way was to use string to tie around the gift box in the traditional manner. Another was to use left over scraps of the corresponding wrapping paper to make a loop for the tag to go through and then tape it down to the gift. The last way was to actually loop the gift tag into the DIY bows.
Just some simple ways to change up your wrapping game!
