Party On: Long Sleeve Dresses

Did you guys watch the Super Bowl last night? I’m not a Patriots fan but I have to admit the second half of the game was exciting, although I think it would’ve been more exciting if the Falcons won. And how amazing was Lady Gaga’s halftime performance?! She was awesome! Best halftime show I’ve seen in a while.

Anyway, on to today’s post. The holiday parties may be over but maybe you find yourself invited to a birthday party that you have to dress up for or maybe it’s your birthday. Or perhaps you’re going out for Valentine’s Day and want to dress up but don’t want to wear the typical red or pink. With the cold weather long sleeve dresses are key.

I chose to go with a silver and black theme to look dressy, classic, and to do something different than the normal Valentine’s colors. This long sleeve shift dress is perfect for winter with it’s dark colors and velvet material. Can you get a more winter appropriate material than velvet? The silver embellishments all over the dress are so fun and pretty.

For accessories, I chose a classic black Chanel bag with silver closure, suede ankle wrap pumps, and pearl and diamond flower stud earrings. Wear this all with a stylish black coat and you’re good to go.
