NaturaBrasil Grand Opening
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the opening of NaturaBrasil‘s first store in New Jersey and second flagship store in the US on Tuesday night. First, a little about the brand!
“Natura is a billion-dollar natural and vegan beauty/grooming brand that works directly with community co-ops in the Amazon rainforest (educating these communities on best practices and business acumen) to sustainably source exotic Amazonian ingredients. Through this program and others NaturaBrasil has saved nearly 635,000 acres of rainforest. Natura is the first publicly traded company to be a B-corp and recently won a United Nations Champions of The Earth Award – not to mention, they just purchased The Body Shop.”
The new store is at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ and is a brightly lit, beautiful space. The whole store smelled great with all the subtle fragrances of the NaturaBrasil products. Everyone was so friendly and I loved learning more about the brand and how they sustainably source their ingredients from the Amazon.
The event had live music, appetizers, product samples, a photo booth, and mini massages! As seen above I did take a photo in their booth area and I, of course, took advantage of the mini massages offered and got a hand massage with the NaturaBrasil hand lotion! I also tried out the virtual reality headset which was really cool. The headset takes you on a boat ride down the river and you can see the Amazon all around you. You get to see locals working the land and harvest acai berries for example.
My goodie bag had a tube of the hand cream which I was really excited to receive because it’s what they had used on my hands during my massage and it smells so good! Seriously, I couldn’t stop sniffing my hands after they used this on my hands that evening.
I’m so happy I was invited to this event and introduced to the brand. I love that they work with local communities in the Amazon to sustainably source their ingredients as well as help these locals earn an income.
I definitely plan on going back to the store in the future to check out more products!
