    Skinfix Eczema Body Wash

How is everyone’s self-quarantining going? My first day of teaching remotely yesterday went pretty well, but, I can see how it can get tougher as it goes on as well as lonely. I’m planning to write a blog post tomorrow to talk about what kind of routine I’m keeping or hoping to keep with this whole working from home thing. But on to today’s blog post. I’ve mentioned it on here before, but for most of my life I’ve had eczema. It usually comes and goes and is usually on my legs. It has been worse in the past year though and I have a prescription from the dermatologist, but…

    Q-Switch Ruby Laser Session 2

Last week I had my second session with the Q-Switch Ruby Laser at Reflections Center for Skin & Body. If you’re new around here, I started going there last summer after getting referred by my dermatologist. I have been wanting to get rid of some spots and acne marks on my face for a while and last summer I finally got my consultation and started treatments. I did 5 or 6 (I lost count) sessions of the V-Beam laser which was to reduce the red marks/scars. Now I’m doing the Q-Switch Ruby or Pico Laser to get rid of brown spots. The brown spots become more noticeable when you get…

I got a fun little box from Influenster a few weeks ago and I wanted to share the items with you. The Glowin20s VoxBox is full of items that are perfect for winter! In my box I received: Bliss Bright Idea Moisturizer – This moisturizer has vitamin c and tri-peptide collagen. It has a really nice, whipped consistency and feels so moisturizing on my skin. It’s also a clean product and free from parabens and phthalate as well as cruelty free and vegan. Type: A Deodorant – I got this in the scent “Crisp Citron”. It is aluminum free. I’ve been intrigued by the whole natural deodorant craze and this…

    Facial Steamer

Happy Friday! It’s been a busy week and this is going to be a bit of a busy weekend again. Can I just get a free day?! I’m hoping for a snow day at some point this winter before spring comes. Anyway, I have been intrigued by at-home facial steamers for about a year. I kept seeing people talk about them on Instagram and wanted to try one for myself, but I kept forgetting/putting off buying one. Facial steaming can help unclog pores and hydrate your skin. For Christmas, I got an Amazon gift card from a student so I decided to treat myself to a facial steamer. I searched…

    Q-Switched Ruby/Pico Laser Session

If you’ve been following my laser treatment journey on here, then you know I finished up my last V-Beam Laser treatment last month. To briefly recap, back in August I started getting V-Beam Laser treatments once a month to get rid of scarring caused by blemishes that had accumulated over the years. V-Beam is only for redness, so once that was taken care of over the course of 5 months, I was left with brown spots. These were there already, but made more visible now that the redness was gone and according to my doctor the red really masks a lot of other little imperfections. So last Wednesday I went…

    December 2019 Favorites

Every month seems to fly by and I pretty much always say that, but I can’t believe we’re at the last day of 2019! Not just the last day of December, but the last day of the year and decade. It’s so crazy to think about. A lot has changed in the past 10 years and some things have stayed the same. The way 2019 started is really different from the way 2019 is ending. This year I moved out of my townhouse that I had bought with my brother and bought a condo of my own. Spent almost 3 months getting it renovated and just recently moved in. It’s…

    VBeam Session 5

On Wednesday I had my 5th and final VBeam laser session! For those of you who don’t know, I started getting VBeam laser treatments on my face back in August. Over the past few years whenever I would get a pimple it would leave a scar/dark mark on my face. This has never happened to me before when I was younger and while I never get horrible breakouts with a lot of acne, I do get 1-2 at a time every now and then. But all those pimples add up when you take in to account that each time it would leave a mark on my face. So last year…

    VBeam Laser Session 4

I had my 4th VBeam laser treatment session on Wednesday and like my previous posts on the treatment I wanted to do a post on it. Not much to report this time so it will be a quick post! If you’re new around here, I started doing VBeam laser treatments at Reflections Center for Skin & Body in August after a consultation. I wanted to get rid of some scars/dark marks on my face from pimples. The procedure is extremely quick. You clean your face, the nurse put the goggles on you, the doctor zaps your face with the laser which stings/burns a little but isn’t too painful, and then you’re…

    VBeam Laser Session 3

I had my 3rd VBeam laser session last week and I wanted to give you a brief update! So after my 2nd session I had some swelling and a very dark bruise. My doctor said she had increased the setting of the laser, so knowing this when I went for the 3rd session I told the nurse about what had happened last time. She said it was good that I let them know so they can adjust accordingly. She told me that a lot of times they do the 1st session on the standard setting and if that goes well they sometimes increase the power for the 2nd session, but…

    Tula Brightening Eye Balm

For months and months I’ve seen people on social media rave about Tula’s Brightening Eye Balm. Maybe you have too. So I really wanted to see if it was worth the hype especially because my eyes are always tired looking when I’m back at work for the school year. However, this eye balm stick is so popular that it is often out of stock! So I waited for a while to get it. Of course, right when I got it Tula launched their new Rose Glow version of the eye balm! So is it worth all the fuss? I like the balm and I enjoy the feeling of it, but I…
