Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

I got my booster shot yesterday! Hopefully that will keep me pretty healthy throughout the winter and next year.

So if you’ve been following me on here for a long time, then you may remember back pre-Covid, I was going to a cosmetic dermatology office and doing a series of laser treatments on my face to get rid of little marks and scarring. It was great, but a little painful – though quick! – and expensive. When quarantine began in March 2020, I couldn’t go anymore and when the office opened back up in the summer I decided not to continue on. As much as I liked the results I knew that I was going to be spending money forever on it and it would be never ending because I would always get new pimples and new marks or scars were bound to pop up. Anyway, over the years I’ve tried a bunch of different dark spot correctors and I haven’t disliked any of them, but none have been holy grail products.

I decided to try the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution and so far I’ve been liking it.

Kiehl’s describes it as “A brightening face serum that helps reduce the look of dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and post-acne marks.”

It’s made from:

– Activated C (a Potent form of Vitamin C): Reduces the look of dark spots and visibly evens skin tone.
– White Birch Extract: Evens skin tone.
– Peony Extract: Helps protect against oxidative damage.

A little goes a long way. I use the dropper to drag a little on my cheeks, forehead, and chin, and then pat it into my skin. It hasn’t irritated my skin in the past 2 months that I’ve been using it, but I don’t use it every day because I don’t want it to potentially dry out or irritate my skin so I usually end up using it maybe every other night or three times a week.

Are there any dark spot correctors you like to use?
